Harassed by downstairs neighbors over my dogs what do

I have two dogs one 40lb the other 65lb. The day my downstairs neighbors moved in they started banging on the ceiling every time my dogs would jump off furniture , which absolutely enrages me. This continued for months mind you they literally don't bark at all. It's only when my dogs move around. I'm no snitch so I never said anything about them banging on the ceiling and they wouldn't open the door for a confrontation. Lo and behold they started complaining to the complex , theyve probably complained three or four times now the place is calling me telling me the neighbors said they cant sleep which is total bull****. What do I do should I pepper for eviction? I pay a **** load for these dogs to live here and the entire complex is pet friendly with a dog park and shiet.

Have you ever thought about getting into clog dancing? You should volunteer to do clog dancing lessons at your home.

Tell them its just you walking around normally and you cant help it the construction of the building resonates such gentle inertia through the floors

also. be petty. start complaining that they are arguing so loud you can't sleep. complain that they're playing music loud or tv.

Are you a minority? Say they have harrassed you and used racial slurs. If no minority, so you're gay and they've used bigoted slurs. be emotional. use terms like homophobic, bigots, etc.

In one of the emails they sent me it basically said here at XXXX apartment complex we are considerate of our neighbors and walk quietly on second floor apartments. Like really brah i have to be unreasonably quiet in my own home.

i think it's courteous to be cognizant of the people around you but then again, the people complaining are peasants because that's just how it when you live in apartment setting. there's going to be people around you don't give a fuk how loud they are.

Then don't ask people what to do. ffs. Could easily say the same thing about his neighbors. How dare he get upset they bang on the ceilings, it's their apartment. They can do whatever they want in their own home.

It's chitty to have two dogs in a cramped little apartment anyways.

They're literally the people creating all the conflict, you are just bitching about people not wanting to deal with authoritarians ruling over how they live in their own homes.

Threaten lawsuits against the downstairs tenants and the complex. They're taking microaggressions against you, but you're protected in the macro sense, as it's a pet friendly place. Tell the complex you're going to call the cops for harassment. Let them know it's clear the law is on your side.

Cliffs: Threaten suit and talk to a good lawyer to draft you a cease and desist letter.

I'm not bitching about anything. The cause of the conflict is his dogs jumping all over the place like crackheads.

Idc what he does tbh. Poor people rentcel problems. But keeping the dogs off the furniture would solve the complaints. Whether he does that or not I couldn't give two fks.

As someone who has lived downstairs in apartments before, yes that’s very annoying. If you have hardwood flooring, consider getting some rugs around. Your dogs probably do this at night as well...

The cause of the conflict is clearly the people creating it with their continued actions that seek to effect how somebody else lives in their own home. You can't take this position and act like the people that are effected by it are the ones acting out.

If it's a pet friendly place, the expectation of pets not running around is an UNREASONABLE expectation. It's an apartment complex FFS.

You made your bed when you moved into a pet friendly place with a DOG PARK. Animals run, it's what they do.

i'm guessing your floors and ceilings aren't sound proofed? put down some rugs and padding under them. you might not realize it, but a dog that big can make a chit ton of noise when jumping or running around, and it can sound like an elephant to someone living below you.

it's not ideal that your neighbors are banging on their ceiling when your dogs make noise, but you'd probably still be in the wrong 9 times out of 10.

If you're hyper-sensitive to other people you should be living in a home or something single story at the very least.
