misc died because we all got older and most of us left. back in 2011 before IG and yootoob fitness BS, all the gymbros at uni were miscers so the place was basically a giant frat house.... now everyone is either old and live uninteresting lives or they are FA weirdos.

im 29 and basically married. i dont do hilarious **** with random sloots like i did at 22 and i dont go out drinking with the boys doing stupid **** anymore... sorry misc.

But most likely it's due to forums just generally dying. More people nowadays prefer to use other types of social media which generally orients to connecting with your friends (like Instagram) instead of strangers (like forums). Content quality has also taken a hit largely due to this as new users on forums are a lot more often those without good social circle and people who don't have good social circle often are kinda chit and boring which explains the lack of quality threads nowadays.

There has always been an element of racism on this site. When I first joined, we had “urban youth” threads popping up all the time. The Trayvon Martin incident probably started it (although to be fair I wasn’t here yet to see misc firsthand reaction) but the George Floyd riots are what pushed it over the edge.

Yep, I was just thinking this yesterday. It's been this way for a while, bit misc is actually kinda toxic nowadays and I can only handle in smaller doses. If we could get rid of all politics here, it would be amazing.

Western countries are big ghey safe spaces, especially offices. Some bars and pubs are probably exempt but not many. You will get arrested for saying certain words in public in this country, and not even anything advocating violence.

you have to realize there is a major cultural difference between America and the rest of other majority white nations. just watching the Aussie version of "chopped" the other day and seeing how informal and friendly the judges/contestants were with each other it was like watching friends having a meal together. the US version, it's all division and formalities to the point where you know the judges consider themselves superior to the contestants.

it's a reach, but this is an American forum, and the social caste system in American culture caters to boxing subgroups of the population into tiers and stereotypes
