It's mind-blowing as far as I know that there's never even been any talk of expanding ICU space, yet all these "elites" just keep talking about how future pandemics like this are likely to occur and meanwhile the justifying the entire economy is that there's not enough ICU space

These fuks just want this fake crisis for them to capitalize on

If you (are told to) care about lack of hospital beds thenyou should be mad at obesity which is why a mild sickness is sending these people to the hospital. Healthy unvaxxed people aren't taking up hospital beds. Obese people have all kinds of complications that make them need to be hospitalized.

Yes I’m mad at obesity and all lifestyle diseases.

Your red herring is still dumb.

to the miscers saying just build more ICU space, well, if its just a flu as youre saying, then why would we need extra ICU space? its just a regular flu right?

It's more contagious and spreads more rapidly than the flu. There's not immunity built up for it

Other than that the symptoms are nearly identical

my point was, and it wasnt hard to grasp, that the whole covid response has been one humungous overreaction.

and vaccines are a very large part of that overreaction hence the chart showing the death rates for a virus (avg of 0.5-1%) that the vaccine does not even stop the infection of nor the spread of said virus which has a 99+% survival rate anyway.

its not just more ICU spaces there is not enough staff, especially when you sack staff for not complying with your dictate

The vaccines are likely also causing the variants so good luck with that

100% this. The “taking up hospital beds” argument is just the current marching order.

We’ve been through:

1.) so we can get back to normal

2.) so you won’t get or transmit covid

3.) so you won’t develop serious symptoms even though you still transmit covid

4.) because if you don’t get vaccinated you might take up a hospital bed(current status)

5.) get your booster shots

I make dozens of choices every day that minimize my risk of being hospitalized. You know what doesn’t see a drastic decrease in efficacy in 6 months? Exercise, healthy sleep schedule, healthy diet, supplementing with vitamins and minerals, and maintaining a healthy weight. But for some reason all the people who gained 50 pounds last year, consumed fear porn every day, and helped set record alcohol sales get to yell at me about how I might take up a hospital bed because I didn’t take an experiment drug with no long term studies.

Nope. People are still trying to stop the spread by social distancing, washing their hands and not coughing directly in people’s faces

Nice attempt at a false dichotomy though

Just remember the narrative from last year:

"Slow the spread"

The entire thought process was to make sure that not everyone gets it at once and overwhelm the hospitals.

Somewhere along the line it turned into "stop covid".

Something about thinking vaccines can eliminate a respiratory coronavirus is just off - but people are eating it up anyway.
I’ll admit the United States was wrong based on its mortality rate

But in general the US thinks healthcare is a luxury good

Developed economies like Australia, for the most part, have got it right.

Bro take a second to step back and look at everything. Look at the numbers and try to make sense of it all. Let your defenses down right now and objectively view the data. Look at what your government is doing. How does any of this make sense?

Coronaviruses have been around before.. Swineflu most recently and we never even talked about masks let alone this craziness. Covid is arguably almost zero threat to anyone healthy under the age of 50. I have a better shot at being eaten by a shark who is getting struck by lightning than to die from COVID.

Now look at where all this money is going. Don't you think it's at leastplausiblethat this could be a huge reason it's being pushed so hard? Given what we know now, how the vaccine is marginal at best and will need a booster twice a year for eternity for a virus that preys on elderly, obese, and unhealthy people to begin with, don't you think the level-headed reaction would be hesitation and question-asking rather than advocating for a rushed product?

there are so many reg flags at pretty much every step of what happened you'd have to be an NPC among NPCs to not see right in front of your face

-virus appears in same place as bio weapons' lab
-propaganda showing people dying in the streets
-appears vit d is important but no mention of taking it to help from governments
-obesity is leading cause of problems - no recommendations of losing weight or exercising
-shut down everything and destroy small businesses
-certain drugs look like they will hep with treatment but discussion actively censored
-emergency vax cannot be passed if there are other efficacious treatments (why the drugs were censored)
-the virus actually is barely even a fraction as deadly as advertised
-vax passports are not gonna be implemented
-vax passports will be implemented
-vaccines will not be mandated
-vaccines will be mandated if you want any sense of a normal life
-show propaganda of healthy people wishing they got the vax but it's too late
-offer rewards
-blame the unvaxxed for the surge in cases in 90+% vaxed countries

etc

Flu doesn't cause damage to lungs and your cardiovascular system like Covid can.

I'm sure you guys have years of viral research to back up your opinions that go against the professionals though, right?
The arrogance is astounding.

Yes you can still catch it with the vaccine. Same as the flu vaccine. Viruses are harder to eradicate so the goal of vaccines is to slow spread, tone down symptoms, and protect those with weaker immune systems. But they are less effective when a large portion of people stay unvaccinated and allow the virus more chances to mutate(all these variants we see).

A lot of you are ignoring the fact healthy people have had complications with this virus, and kids are having a really hard time with the delta variant.

Do what you want guys, but don't be hypocritical and run to an icu bed if your immune system isn't as good as you banked your money on.

Wrong, it absolutely can. Less likely than a common cold virus though, I will give you that.

Wrong. Leaky vaccines are in theory more likely to cause dangerous mutations than not vaccinating at all. If these vaccines were proper vaccines, sure.

Wrong. Pretty much every other virus is just as dangerous for healthy people and especially kids. Look up risk statistics. Should we shut down everything for the flu or common cold every year as well?

Flu normally causes 12000-79000 deaths vs the 375000 covid related deaths last year.

Saying it causes damage at the same rate as covid is simply impossible.

The lung damage you refer to with flu(pneummonia) normally will recover as the person gets better. Unlike lung scarring as seen in covid.

Except that the odds of this occurring are not the same for every living breathing human. Want a mandate? Mandate vaccination for the people most at risk [aka: fat, sick, old] and leave the rest of the humans alone to develop natural immunity.

Nice post. I think most people reading here though have made their minds up at this point.

If anyone really is still wondering about the vaccine then I think this article is worth reading. The expert being interviewed says that it will takeyearsfor us all to develop sufficient immunity to this new virus throughmultiple exposuresto the virus.
I’ve always said that we’re going to age out of this virus. People are going to keep getting exposed. And whether it’s to Delta or to a variant in five months from now, every time you or I or anyone else gets exposed — they’re really building up a decent cushion of immunity with each of those exposures. So it’s only a matter of time before we actually have not only vaccine-derived immunity but natural infection-derived immunity, too.

When you start coupling all that together, you can picture it kind of like a sandwich, just continuing to stack up. Then we can start to say, okay, now, you know, even if the virus changes a bit, I’ve built up so much protection already. I’ve got all these antibodies that not only recognize the spike proteins from the virus, which is what we see with the vaccines, but I’ve now been exposed three times. And so even if the virus mutates this part, I already recognize these other parts. That’s kind of how we’re going to get out of this. That’s how our immune system learns. It’s going to be maybe a couple-year-long endeavor still, and everyone who’s been vaccinated probably will get exposed — eventually, hopefully, without causing any symptoms. I think we’ll get there, but it’s going to be a longer road than we’d like to believe.

Saying it causes damage at the same rate as covid is simply impossible.

The lung damage you refer to with flu(pneummonia) normally will recover as the person gets better. Unlike lung scarring as seen in covid.
Flu deaths aren't really counted, meanwhile covid deaths are extremely overcounted. And lol at your lung damage claims, you have been reading too much bad science. Blows my mind that you actually believe in the bs you are spouting.

dismissing an argument doesn't make it go away. show me how the science is bad with more than just your opinion.

You see how that works?
Yeah that's not even remotely a problem lol please show me the thousands of vaccinated people on hospital beds.

you actually think you've come out of this thread as some sort of victor?

like everyone else hasn't thrown common sense at you this whole time and you've just ignored it and clung to "the op was about getting vaxxxed so that's been answered"

I can only imagine the logic (if there is any) is that they don’t know who’s going to get severely affected by Covid and whilst 99.9% of younger people won’t be hospitalised if they can avoid the 0.1% being hospitalised with a cheap jab they might as well. I had hepatitis and typhoid jabs to go to Mauritius and I’m
pretty sure I wouldn’t have caught either if I hadn’t have had them.
