My point is if you have to pick a conspiracy to post about on the internet all day, why not discuss the minimum wage or decline of unionisation (which most likely affects the average conspiracy nut) rather than, say, how everything changed in 2012

If the average moron didn't have some external enemy (be it a starkly different person, group, or entity), they'd have to look to themselves and their own problems closer to home. No one wants to do that. It's why you have liberal cucks and right-wing morons all doing the same thing of blaming everything on the other side.
Throw in anything they don't fully understand, with any wacko science or conclusions, get people emotional enough and you have everything you need.
