So hear me out, I see a lot of hate against Muslims lately due to the Afghanistan thing. I was curious about Sharia law and why every one thinks it is a bad idea but after reading it, its everything that misc posts about here isnt it?

Although some of the laws are ridiculous, some of you guys might actually like it. Since ignorance is fear and hate, Check it out.

• Theft is punishable by amputation of the hands (Quran 5:38).
Who likes thieves anyways?

• Criticizing or denying Allah is punishable by death

• A Muslim who becomes a non-Muslim is punishable by death (See Compulsion).

• A non-Muslim man who marries a Muslim woman is punishable by death.
• A woman cannot speak alone to a man who is not her husband or relative.

• A woman or girl found guilty of adultery is punishable by death
• A male convicted of rap3 can have his conviction dismissed by marrying his victim.

Ok this one is a bit messed up but knowing some of MISC...

• A woman can have 1 husband, who can have up to 4 wives
This rule is irrelevant for MISCers because some struggle to find just 1

• A man can beat his wife for insubordination (see Quran 4:34)
• A man can unilaterally divorce his wife; a wife needs her husband's consent to divorce.
• A divorced wife loses custody of all children over 6 years of age or when they exceed it.
• A woman's testimony in court, allowed in property cases, carries ½ the weight of a man's.

This is the total opposite of western society, something many here always want and complain about.


With any religion or belief, some compromises must be made and you have to outweigh the pros and cons.

Women should have the right to divorce their husbands, the point is that they shouldn't be incentivized to do so by alimony/CS payments, preferred custody, and no-fault divorce.

If the bish wants to leave, she gets 50/50 custody unless there are extenuating circumstances (such as a mutual agreement by the husband) and $0.00/month in alimony or child support.
