Since you want to plead to authority, I don't think there's many (if any) individuals whom we can trust more.

sure, I agree. But now you have the entire world's medical community working on this day and night, surely they're not all dumb and can't see things?
I get, we're pissed. And sure, maybe in the US doctor's are 'afraid of being cancelled' (although I doubt it), but this is not the case in Australia. No one's getting cancelled and they can say whatever the fk they want.
In fact the guy who advised the premier here to lockdown just changed his mind and advised against it and went on TV. It's not a 1984 novel, and no, a random mister is not going to observe something that the world's medical have failed to observe.

That has 0 logic, and a pleb like me can see that, so the ones who are making the rules are even bigger idiots or worse, they’re taking the fkn piss. So which is it?
Basically, it’s an argument from authority, and right now, can’t trust authority. Remember when the world said it wasn’t a lab leak categorically too?

There is absolutely zero value in having a discussion with someone who does that.

But, you don't really have discussions with anyone as you don't really say anything defensible nor offer any support for your positions. You just name call.

I have discussions with people that are capable of having honest discussions - you've proven that you are not one of them.

The second, was an error in not multiplying the proportion by 100. Also acknowledged and corrected.
Is the reason you can't let it go because you have nothing to contribute to the conversation?

Has JLC or any of the pro-vaccine guys ever addressed how covid mortality was measured vs. sides w/ the vaccine? I just see them avoid it or ignore it.
Real quick:
- Anyone with covid within 30 days, if they died of any reason it was counted as a covid death. Do we dispute this?
- Describe the process in which someone has side effects from the vaccine and how that is counted.
To me, this makes a lot of this debate kind of pointless. We really don't know the numbers. We can assume the official #s for covid are inflated to some degree. We can assume the official #s for sides/mortality from vaccination of dis-inflated. To what degree is anyone's guess. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.
At the end of the day, like many more reasonable people here -- if you're known at risk from covid, vaccination probably makes sense knowing what we know now. Although, seeing breakthrough cases, I am starting to break from this thought. In any event, knowing what we know about the mortality/hospitalization #s of covid -- there are groups of people not at risk. In those cases, if they want vaccination - whatever, but I dismiss anyone who demands certain groups not at risk must be vaccinated.
Btw, I haven't followed perfectly here - but if he made a mistake, was corrected and then admitted the mistake and even apologized for it, it's time to move on. People make mistakes. Especially dealing with information surrounding covid which is constantly evolving. Cut him some slack. He has his point and agenda but he's also a human who is not perfect. If he fuked up and man-ed up and admitted it, harping on it beyond that point is in bad faith.

But I have seen this:
https://www.cpsbc.ca/news/publicatio...2-mar-apr-2020
Everything I've seen suggests the deaths are under-reported.
Where I am, vaccine-related complications are reported directly by the recipient.
