So I watched Hereditary.

Never been a horror fan, and never watch horror movies but I gotta say it was a pretty good movie. It wasn't "scary" but it was definitely unsettling.

Disturbing to say the least, great acting.
That family drama hit me harder than the actual "horror" scenes.

For sure. I have to say the way people cried or expressed emotion in their gave me anxiety. Good acting on their part.

If true that's mindblowing to me. I loved Hereditary, but I thought Midsommar was a giant pile of chit.

Yep, same dude. Yeah midsommar was trash, but it was interesting that it all happens during the daytime.

Some but not many. It’s more of a psychological rollercoaster that pulls you along. I loved it and think it’s one of my new favorites. I don’t mind jump scare movies like the conjuring, but just think it takes more thought and effort to scare in other ways.

The part in the car with the young daughter was super disturbing. I remember watching it and had to pause just because I couldn't believe what they did. Plus then the anguished scream from the mother when she opens the car.

I enjoyed it more the second time I saw it. Always recommend watching it twice because you miss a lot the first time around.

The 'scariest part of the movie is *spoiler* when the lady appears on the ceiling like a gargoyle. That chit made me jump but other than that i didn't think it was scary

Honestly I was never huge on horror, my wife is about them though so I’ve seen a bunch.
My favorite horror movie is As Above So Below
I also always dug the Purge series but I enjoy movies that make you think more of a “what would I do in that scenario.”

I didn't get the hype after watching it. Not bad but not great. Watch 'Sinister' if you want a great horror movie

Thought the same about this. Only scary part was the 8mm films they showed. The rest was predictable af.

most of these horror movies nowadays are just absurd and rly try to get you to play mind games inside your brain. shock value etc.

i saw midsommar and hereditary and while i appreciate the artistic aspect, its a little too off the rails for me. i did enjoy bits of both films.
