It makes no sense. I can tell you from someone with a severe disease I would cut off my leg and be a literal slave to be rid of it. People would be stepping over each other's corpses over the treatment if it was a real threat, not resisting the government forcing you to take it.

Nothing about COVID adds up except the very obvious - it's a scam entirely fabricated for profit and power. None of the restrictions make any sense and have absolutely nothing to do with viral transmission or infectious disease.

Think about this, who does this mandate affect? The lower-middle class. The people that can be controlled because money is limited. Rich people can literally do anything they want through lockdowns, mandates, not wearing masks etc because they can afford to pay any fines they dish out. They are exempt from travel restrictions because they are an influx of money for the economy.

A vaccine is and always has been protection against YOUR health, not the collective. If you deem COVID as a threat and believe the vaccine is safe and will protect you, go for it. If not, that's your choice because it's YOUR health you are risking.

Vaccines are not like antibiotics, they don't kill the organism to prevent it's lifecycle or transmission, they strengthen your immune system to negate the effects of the pathogen. The fact that they have quotas to reach on how much of the population is jabbed means it's entirely politically/financially incentivized and anyone that is cautious should not be scrutinized.

I think I will cave in when they make it very difficult to live life without the vax, no supermarkets, shops, bars etc. But it doesn’t mean I can’t respect the people who would fight for those principles.

People are so quick to say that we MUST thank the military for their service, because they’re protecting our freedoms, which I don’t agree with. I feel that they’re just doing the governments bidding, getting sent off to wars and if it actually came down to protecting our freedoms I.e the enemy is at our doorstep, we’d all be drafted anyhow and I’d have to protect my own freedom. Anyhow, that’s a separate discussion.

My point is, people like op, who can stand steadfast for his principles are the ones truly fighting for our freedom. I’m not martyr, not gonna get pepper sprayed by some cop to fight for my right to not forcefully get vaxxed, but if someone will, then you have my respect. Those are the people that start the movements.

Can you or anyone show me where our government has MANDATED countrywide vaccinations? State level? Local? Outside of a few currently, All I’ve seen are private businesses requiring one or the employee will have to get tested twice a week.

Just because people have differing opinions and principles than OP doesn’t mean they’re weak willed or lack principles. Getting the shot just isn’t a big deal to them or having a job and providing for their families takes precedence.

I can understand how people like OP see these mandates by employers and schools and whatnot and "vaccine passport" requirements at public-facing businesses are in the same league as gov't-enforced vaccine mandates, though I don't agree with them on that. What I don't understand is how people like OP can't appreciate that these employers/schools/airlines/bars/other businesses are well within their rights to want to prevent unvaccinated spreadnecks from turning their businesses/schools/etc into covid hotspots that sicken their employees, make vaccinated customers feel unsafe, and contribute unnecessarily to an ongoing pandemic.Why can't unvaccinated people just accept the consequences of their actions?

This. Just read 7 pages of people who have never even considered the idea of a slippery slope. Founding fathers are rolling in their graves.

My wife is a nurse. She has been given to September 5th to get her first dose or she is being terminated. We knew this was coming for a few months now and here it is. We have significant cash savings, enough to live for at least 3 years before ever having to dip into our retirement accounts. No job will ever take our right to decide what we get to put in our own bodies.

The struggle has arrived on our door step and we're ready to take it on head first. Fuk these companies, and Fuk this country for turning two people who used to love this country and just want to make an honest living, into two people ready to completely disconnect from society if it comes to that. It's time to hustle up. I already found a job to make a few bucks until we figure out the ultimate move for us. I'm supposed to be starting a new job that would be plenty to keep living how we've been, but I suspect they'll be mandating the vax as well, which of course i'll be declining. I've been trying to figure out what sort of small business I can start so I can work for myself. Time will reveal these things for me. I have absolutely zero doubt that we'll be just fine. God has his hands on us, no doubt.

Anyone who is facing this same situation, stand tall. If you are indifferent to the vax, then do what you need to do. But if you're truly against taking this vaccine, don't fold. If you don't even have autonomy over you're own body, you're nothing more than a slave anyway. I'm 100% sure our friends and family will think that we're overreacting and are foolish for taking this stance. I'm good with that though because I have to look myself in the mirror everyday, they don't. The moment I sacrifice my values and principles for money, my soul is gone. This entire pandemic has never added up. From the fake videos of the chinese keeling over in the street, to this incredible push to get people vaccinated that isn't even allowed to be questioned in the slightest without being labelled a moron, anti-vaxxer, racist, etc., has never felt right to me.

I truly hope, for everyone's sake, that this vaccine is safe and proves to be so 5 or 10 years down the line. I'll be part of the control group, regardless of what that costs me. JnJ and Pfizer have a significant track record of mistakes. Moderna has never even brought another drug to market to my knowledge. No chance i'll be a guinea pig for these companies.

Stay strong people. It feels lonely, but I think there are a lot more of us out there than they're leading on. Some sacrifices will have to be made, but keeping your values and principles intact are worthy of those sacrifices.
