So, my son just got sent home from school for 10 days because

FYI still got to read "he has allergies" before entering thread.

But yeah I've had bad allergies all my life, srs. Glad I didn't grow up now, I'd be kicked out every time a faculty member glanced at me lmao.

Yeah, he sniffled and coughed in class, so his teacher sent him to the nurse. Then she asked if anything else is wrong and he said a headache (sinus pressure), so when the principal called me, she was like, "Well, he has a headache so he has to go home for covid."

Yeah, I can get him tested, except there are no available appointments. Home tests are not accepted.

Apparently, I can get a doctors note stating he has severe allergies and then I don't think they can send him home for covid unless he has additional symptoms like fever/diarrhoea.

I know just how you feel. My son, who served in Iraq and died from brain cancer was also sent home from school as a kid.

Sucks our kids doctors had quick swab setups in parking lots and we would get results next morning whenever school through a hissy fit last year.

Schools are insane with this.

I have 5 kids and any time one of them got a cold, the district would notify the high school, middle school, and grade school to send all the kids home until we got a covid test for the one kid, which would sometimes take 3 days.

CVS, Walgreens, Quest, and LabCorp. Start calling bro

I finally found an appointment at a Walgreens an hour away on Thursday.
