I'm halfway through "Richer, Wiser, Happier"

Very good book based on Buffett-style investing. An intredasting interview of Mohnish Pabrai brought me to his book "The Dhandho Investor" and it's capitvating AF....

Some of these long-term holders have like 80% of their net worth in one stock, and absolute CRUSH with their returns. Very cool to see people obtain these levels of success with a hands-off approach.

SPRT seems to be done, its being pinned between $30-35 atm

Open interest is tiny everyone was just day trading it.

Now will be slow bleed to $10.

BBIG also looks pretty close to done. Not good that there was no cover pre market (red flag, there was cover monday pre market and thats it)

Trade Volume has dropped.

Call/put ratio is still 85/15 but that enough.

Open interest on 9/10/11 call strikes is good, someone thinking another cover is coming or just hopium.

Seems fairly likely this is coming on SPRT

I'm out of both of this.

I do have an order for SPRT 80 @ 25 if it dips. hopefully it does for a bounce.

On chapter five currently. Don't be surprised if you hear about me in the next version of this book and how I crushed the market with PLTR gainz.

Someone explain this chit to me. Bought 452c SPY when price was 451.4. I let it run up a bit and put a break even stop sell. This chit got triggered at 452.1. I didn’t think theta ramps up that fast. Wouldn’t be IV either

lol what is the expiration? Options can move 20% with 0 movement on the underlying. Usually spy doesn't move as much, but still can have significant movement without anything really happening. Trading on options is independent from underlying so sometimes they aren't always correlated.

you have to be more specific than that

did you buy SPY 090121 452 C ?

Day High 1.26
Day Low 0.69

or

SPY 090321 452 C

Day High 1.89
Day Low 1.27

SPY is the most liquid option you can trade bids are crazy tight down to 0.1 volume is always there you...there will always be someone waiting to take your position.

you could buy/sell 500-1000 contracts and it will always fill instantly.

Wonder what bad news will kick off the September dump. Taliban? Joe Biden gaff? China/Taiwan?

Going to profit on the way down and profit on the way up in any case

Anyone in CHPT (ChargePoint)?

Working in the electric utility industry and its looking like nearly every utility is planning to put in level 2 chargers throughout their service territory, for two reasons: (1) the capital investment is recovered by the utility's rate base along with a guaranteed rate of return; (2) EV chargers stimulate demand for electricity, allowing the utility to grow revenues long-term... so utility's are throwing in tons of level 2 chargers as part of their strategic plans and will have to begin procuring those charging stations over the next few years... seems like a nice opportunity for the EV charging companies (of which ChargePoint is the leader). Rolling out an EV charging station program is basically the easy button for an electric utility to deploy capital into their ratebase and earn a rate of return on it, so I'm predicting this becomes a nationwide trend soon enough where every utility is building thousands of EV chargers (srs)
