I couldn't decide between Johnny Cash or Motley Crue. Sugar Ray seemed like a good compromise. Who are your four?

most people have never heard of them but id also love to have seen the flying burrito brothers .

2 founding members of the byrds and a founding member of the eagles and gram parsons.

their first album the gilded palace of sin was amazing. the younger 90s crowd would know one of their songs that BECK covered called SIN CITY. great album

Pink Floyd
Led Zepplin
Janes Addiction
Nirvana or Soundgarden

I've already seen a lot bands that could be on the list - the Grateful Dead, Rush, AIC, NIN, Tool, Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan...

There were 2 venues. Which one? I watched it live on MTV that day (on and off). TBH, a lot of the performances weren't very good. U2 was great (even though they thought they'd blown it). Bowie was great. That's really who I remember killing it. Didn't listen to Queen. Didn't care then and don't care now. I think it's a millennial/zoomer thing to think Queen stole the show. I don't recall anyone at the time talking about Queen and Live Aid that way. I remember MTV making a big deal out of the fact Phil Collins played early at Wembley, got on a plane for Philadelphia, and then played late in Philly, thus playing at both venues.
