Only reason I shave is Uncle Sam. If I ever go civilian I'm never shaving again. Unless you look like an unkempt homeless man why would any occupation need you to shave? (obviously not referring to the medical field).

Once worked at a bank in IT , in a building with no windows and not customer facing AT ALL. they had a policy of no facial hair for men. I had a small goatee and someone in another department saw it and reported me to HR. lol about facial hair. I quit within a couple of days.

Weird thing is, I get more attention with my beard than I ever did before and I'm total dad bod right now compared to the time when I was the most fit and completely shaved.

IMO people who need to shave to look better are just as much jestermaxxing as the people who need a beard to look better. Chad remains a Chad regardless if he shaves or not.

Let my beard grow during quarantine. It hits the bottom of my sterum now. Interviewed with it at two places in July. Got offers from both, started last week with it.

I can go stubble and look fine. It's halfway to 12...


I actually do that in winter because my beard freezes into my snowmobile helmet and you about tear your face off when you forget and go to pull the helmet off.
