Anyone wonder where the flu went?

With the inaccuracy of PCR tests it makes me wonder if a lot of cases of the flu are simply being called covid. Of course there are those that claim it's because of masks etc, but masks are barely slowing covid since areas with mask mandates often did as bad or worse than those without any.

I heard there are no flu test kits available.

So even if a doc wanted to test for flu, he can't.

The theory is that covid is much more contagious. So the measures we’ve taken has eliminated flu spread but not covid spread.

Is there any independent studies outside of the cdc to show just how contagious one is versus the other? Aside from skewed data.

flu is pretty damn contagious though - whole offices come down with it pretty easily, but you feel it right away, so it doesn't spread silently - also I'm not sure there are asymptomatic flu carriers, although I guess you'd have to randomly test to know for sure
