Could you imagine a leftists face as they learned the history of Ghengis Khan.
Edit: there's a town near me with a statue of Sir Francis Drake. They wanted too put a plaque up talking about his involvement with slavery. Everybody overwhelmingly said no and wrote a ton of complaints. The plaque is going up. Nice too know my tax will be spent Co stantly removing the inevitable daily damage/spray paint jobs done to it.

This has everything to do with the fact that Churchill was a right winger. The left is so far left that it's hard for them to believe that anyone can be on the right and against racism. "At all costs" means supporting the Nazis if that means taking down a Nazi killing white male that supports high standards and good values

Is that really true? Wasn't the reason he lost the post-war election due to Labor offering the creation of a welfare state. Which in hindsight is truly remarkable.

His father Lord Randolph Churchill founded the Tory Democrat wing of the Tory party, which were basically the liberal wing of the Tory party. Winston Churchill carried on that legacy throughout most of his early political career.

He startedin politics in 1901 in the Conservative Party, but joined the Liberal Party in 1904 because the Conservatives were starting to become super protectionist and isolationist, to which Churchill was vehemently opposed.

He a member of the Liberal Party the 20s when he basically saw the writing on the wall, as the party was declining (and being replaced by Labor as the dominant left-wing party), so he jump back into the Conservative Party.

But yes, OP is correct, he was a pretty liberal conservative and/or a pretty conservative liberal for his entire life.
