Smartphones weren't meant to change people this way

We sure had important and maybe more significant inventions before such as computers, laptop, internet, video games, cars, aero planes, but they didn't change people drastically as smartphones did. Smartphones made complete global entry by 2012, that completely changed the way people saw each other and behaved all over, thus completely changing the behavioral map of the planet.

But it hits me very hard, how come a small device can change just about everything, mostly for worse. Although it can go from worse to amazing, if we finally enter The Great Reset. But do we really need all that?

Best thing you can do is keep your phone off for most of the day.

I started only checking mine 3-4 times a day.

Tremendously helped my attention span

Smartphones have made some things a lot easier like GPS and traveling with maps, texting/calling, etc. You can reach anyone with just wifi nowadays. the positives are there for sure.

Social media is the real problem and issue, it's pathetic how people act nowadays because of their overuse and abuse of social media platforms like ********, ig, twitter, snapchat, etc. It's making everyone more dumb and degenerate. People need to put the smartphone down and go outside, read a book.

Been saying this for years. Since at least 2017 actually. But now the apps/algorithms are too sophisticated and dividing everyone.

They need to just ban smart phones and social media because it's all people care about anymore.

Social media and smartphones ruined humanity, it made us too connected to every douchebag around the planet at all times. It's why every piece of chit has such a loud voice while all the common folks are so powerless.

We can't just relax and enjoy the moment anymore because of it

Like 2007 was pretty good. You could get on youtube or a Vbulletin forum but that was all.

Yeah the 00's seemed to have the perfect balance of technology, it all went to hell in the 2010's.

When I was young without a smartphone, I would print out directions and head to a place once and know how to get there again next time without any gps or map. Now with Google maps, I can’t remember how to get to a place even if it’s local without using my smartphone every time

Man this is me. I need my GPS for everything now, I needed to take a detour and my phone was dead. God help me but I couldn’t piece together the alternate route I needed to take. I could kind of see bits and pieces of it but that was it.

The real root of the problem is everyone can get them.

Before when it was just computers not everyone had them. You had to be at least lower class to be able to own a computer.
