Spent the past week deep diving into Cosmos, Avalanche and DOT. Those three combined with Solana seem to the top contenders for developers to build on/Layer 1s besides Ethereum. Avalanche seems to have the 'best' technology. They tout themselves as being the fastest blockchain, which seems to true by all accounts. That's all well and good but the best technology historically doesn't always win out (both in and out of crypto space). They are also the newest of the bunch.

I moved the majority of my Ethereum defi bags into Cosmos. Their tech just seems to offer the capability of rich ecosystems. Cosmos is also on Keplr wallet which offers a simple way to interact with defi for the non-degens.

I know people want their ****coins to flip for quick big gains but if you're looking to hold long term (at least a year) you cannot go wrong with Solana, Polkadot, Avalanche or Cosmos. This isn't a zero sum game. The solidly built layer 1s are seeing and will see an influx of projects trying to avoid Ethereum gas fees (Eth will stay king though).

I'm pretty damn sure ATOM will pull a Sol until the end of the year. It is still severely overlooked, with 0 shilling. When it finally pops, I don't think anything will stop it, its still an hidden gem.

It's definitely a good project. Good projects don't really matter in retard markets tho. Hype is what matters.

Maybe it will pop off, maybe it won't

What I do know is I've more than doubled my money.

Repped,
It's just a wallet. I get about 6.5% Apr on the amount of sol staked. So if you staked 1,000 Sol you'd get 65 sol a year

I'm watching SHIBA right now. If SHIBA pops you know we are headed for another huge correction. When retard chit pops, that's the signal.

Cheers, brah. CVX doing alright, eh? It dropped after I bought and I kept buying more to average my price down by about 10% - always a good strategy if you're confident it will play out sooner or later The more I look into it the more I realise how bullish it is mid/long term.

I've also aped into CRV, which is closely related to CVX. I barely understand it all myself yet but if anyone is into DeFi they probs know more than I do already. 67% of ALL curve is locked in Convex, which is what gives Convex the voting rights to make themselves even richer. That's locked for four years, i.e. as good as forever.

I just really liked the look of the chart, though, tbh:

My first go at staking/LP/defimemeing:

That's from the first 24hrs, kek. Paid out in CVX and CRV.
Could have been a slayer.

Aye, spent several months under 40c (17c low) in summer 2018. Easy to pick winners in the cold of a bear market, though - nothing really stands out and then when you find something you know will be multibillions eventually, you just ape in with everything you can scrape together and wait. Understand why people fud, ignore it all, keep stacking, and wait. Simple as that, really - of course, picking the right project is the key but I feel it was pretty obvious at the time, if one had heard about it. Nothing else of that calibre was out there, Gilbert was a man who meant business.

But right now QNT is outside of my risk appetite, I have to say. I'm not actively encouraging people to buy at this price; it went 2500x from lows to highs this cycle, and in 2021 alone it's pulled 45x against BTC. Will it keep going? I don't know, maybe. It wouldn't surprise me if it did. But on the balance of things (TA, big releases/news very soon, crazy euphoria in the communities) it's a bit hot for me. Think of it like when BTC passes 100k, would you really be telling your mates to buy then? I mean, it could still go to 200k or 250k but... just gets kind of sketchy.

Up to you guys what you do with it; selling is everyone's choice to make depending on how they like to play things. Bear in mind that the privilege I have for buying so early and going in so big is that I get to play it safe at the end - so I ain't telling no brah to sell, but I ain't telling you to buy atm, either. Again, this all depends on your approach, timeframe, strategy, personal disposition, etc.

I'm quite interested in CVX and CRV lately as well, as mentioned - DeFi stuff is always popular and I think they're decent charts + solid incoom while waiting for moon.

As for "the next QNT"... well nothing is going to make you 1000x's now at this point in the cycle anyway, tbh. Sorry for newbrahs! You can still make solid gains, though, and set yourself up well. Got to think fairly long term. If it takes a few years to get deep into 8figs is that really so bad? You're talking 10's of 1000's per day averaged out.
Could have been a slayer.

Hey bros can you give me a scoop on what the easiest and reasonably safe way of storing crypto is?
I have bitcoin, ether and cardano and USDC on an exchange but would like to move it out of the exchange. Is there like 1 device that can accomodate all of those?
Also does it cost money to move between a wallet and an exchange?

Get a Ledger nano (s version is fine)

Exchanges will charge a withdrawal fee, often $5-30 charged in the coin you're moving. To send from wallet to exchange you'll pay network fees of some kind, again a few bucks or more usually.

strong sensible post.

Wanted to emphasize that the time to make moves is when the market is ****. When you're going down the DYOR rabbit hole with projects in a bull market, you end up with a lot of bs information that does 0 to narrow down your options.

Why do you have a 'dozen' ****coins? Keep it to 2/3 and you need a 5x to get the ball rolling.

Go balls deep in 2 cheap **** coins.
Have a steady high yield defi project.
Take defi gains and stack BTC and ETH. Always stack BTC and ETH. Always.

That's the best strategy to begin with now. After that, and your **** coins hit (which if you're meant to be in the game it should), you're playing with house monies and it's easier to safeguard long term (BTC and ETH with a dash of a solid layer 1 mixed in) while throwing around silly money at **** coins for that homerun.

While moving some BTC around last week it blew my mind how much exchanges have to be making. It costs 18-28 USD to move BTC off an exchange. Same amount of BTC cost .18 cents to move from my hardware wallet.

Iโ€™m 95% BTC and ETH. The rest are 12 lottery tickets. Iโ€™d rather have 12 tickets than 2/3. I just want 1 of them to make it.

My strategy is fine, the rest is pure luck.
