I keep having dreams where I'm back in school.
Dreamt I was in high school again
In social studies class, not doing assignments and copying off other's for tests.
The teacher chewed me out but I'm all like "chill bro I'm here just for the ride"
lol

I have dreams about flunking high school all the time and it’s weird because I was always an A-, B+ student.
I do fantasize about talking so much sh!t to my teachers though in hindsight.
Like my English teacher I had last class of the day and I was so burnt out from wrestling practice and cutting weight that I’d fall asleep with my eyes open. I woke up to him right in my face saying “Andrew! Wake up!” And at the time we were learning about The Great Gatsby.
I wish I could go back in time and say to him “Listen, this is a fictional story written by a full fledged alcoholic and you’re over here talking like this sh!t actually happened. It’s a stupid story about some weird rich dude who took some random dude under his wing, called him “Old Sport”, and got shot in his own pool or something. This is a ridiculous story that’s about as useless in life as the Pythagorean Theorem.”

Okay then.
I have the same dream every Saturday night into Sunday morning: my father, who died three months ago, is alive suddenly again and I'm like "It's so weird how you came back to life when you've been dead x amount of time". I used to take care of him. Bring his meals, change his diapers and bed sheets, etc. He was only 68.
Dreams don't mean anything. Not even worth talking about, and yet we do. Life's an odd duck.

It disturbs me deeply because the truth is I never really liked him. He was meek, uneducated, the nice guy who gets taken advantage of, never really guided me about life, etc. but mostly a good person. I hate the fact that I keep having these dreams because I don’t think about him at all really. Makes me feel like a complete ass hole. He knew that I favored my high school wrestling coach over him because he was everything my dad wasn’t.
Yet last week I had a dream that Daniel Day Lewis’s character from There Will Be Blood was teaching me how women breastfeed. Lmao. I watched the movie over again and found out where that came from. In the final scene where he’s tormenting Paul about how his twin brother surpassed him in life and said “Where were you when your brother was suckling at your mother’s teet?” My brain literally dug up that scene, took out the word “teet”, and made my dream about him teaching me how women breastfeed.
That’s weird as fuk and probably has zero meaning to it. My brain just got shaken up during sleep and went off on some irrelevant tangent of a dream that made zero sense.
So I’d say it’s both. Dreams can have deep meaning, some meaning, or none whatsoever.

I wouldn't let a dream bother, but I also wouldn't judge him too harshly. No one is perfect, and being a father is a big job and honestly I think most fail in one way or another. My father had an IQ in excess of 150, worked as a computer operator until he met my mom then became a truck driver (because there were no opening up north at the time) and provided for us all but was never around until he was sick as hell and grumpy. My brothers say he wasn't a great dad, but they also didn't spend hours with him every day talking and bonding. I took care of him the last ten years as a favor to my mother because he told her she was useless when she was late bringing him breakfast. He could be a jerk (we all can) but he was a genuinely interesting, intelligent, good man with problems accumulated from a lifetime (and especially a childhood) of trauma.

I often have dreams where I was in high school. I keep forgetting my schedule and where my class is avd I’m always running late. Weird thing is it’s a super old s hook and it’s huge. It’s also built on a lot of graves and people claim it’s haunted. There’s actually tomb stones out the windows of the class

Being back in school is one of my most frequent recurring dreams, and it always pisses me off -"why the phuck am I here?" A lot of times it involves me having my current job as well, so I'm either missing work by being at school (and worried about losing my job) or frequently playing hooky.
Also, I'm always wanting to talk to the Guidance councilors (who I can NEVER find) to tell them that not only have I already finished High School, but also undregrad and grad school so it makes no phucking sense for me to be there.

The worse part is that in those dreams I also have one more year to win back my wrestling state championship and I wake up pissed off that that time is over. In real life I won state finals my junior year but then my senior year, that same opponent got revenge on me and beat me in the state finals my senior year. I have the DVD of that loss in a drawer somewhere that another teammate’s parents filmed for us. 13 years later and I still haven’t watched it. But in those dreams I’m on TRT and HGH like I am now and think “I’ll definitely beat him this time since I’m a lot stronger now.” Lol.
Fuk I wish I had a time machine. I underestimated that fukker and got way too cocky focusing on placing at nationals and that beating him again would be a cake walk. That loss is like a splinter in my brain I can’t yank out. Knowing that guy has a nice framed picture of him with a first place trophy and my lifeless eyes that have “Someone kill me please” written all over me....goddammit.

Happens to me too, like I'll be in school and be in trouble for not doing assignments or something, then towards the end of the dream I'll realize I'm like 12 years graduated and just lol then I wake up soon after.
Would kick em in the nuts

Sometimes I still have a dream now and then, me taking a final exam in HS.
The funny thing is that I always woke up before I could see the result.
