Is because of their birth genetics? Like that would include their physical appearance, their way of thinking, their way of just existing altogether which dictates their output in this planet positively or negatively?
Its as if the person has no control over any right or wrong things in their life, like even if they try to change a few things they will just return back to where they were before and their efforts to bring about a change are useless in a long term scale because they are what they were destined or born to be?

A man's attitude goes some ways, the way his life will be. Is that something you agree with?

Does freewill exist? No. But you're contradicting yourself because you're saying said person can't change even when he tries, that's not true and defies the point. The point is some people won't even try to change because of genetics.

Everyone would say parenting and environment played a part, but still I think brain at birth was the first thing, you can make the brain behave and think in a certain way, but you can't change its base, the base would signal the results according to its model.

Baby's first dabble in philosophy?
Genetics plus your environment = how much suffering you will experience in your life.
Wait until you figure out that objective morality does not exist...

But everyday I hear and read people taking about depression and how certain things are not right in their lives.

If you are familiar with Sapolsky that is supposed to be the topic of his next book.
You can jump in about 7 minutes if you are interested in watching and don't want to sit through the intro stuff.
