I'd go a step further. Any sort of sincerity is frowned upon. It's like they can only express themselves through memes, lip-syncing, selling nudes, irony, snarkiness, being brats, or regurgitating extremist politics that make them look even more retarded.

And it's not an age thing, it's a culture thing. Plenty of millennials and Gen Xers are this narcissistic and vapid, it's not just Gen Z. Although Gen Z, having grown up through the internet, are def the most annoying. They speak in strings of annoying slang. "For me it's the big chungus energy, frfr, my guy."
