This is their value accrual.
Think about it, why on earth would they give away their product for free to ETH or LINK stakers when they can take a cut for themselves and sell another bunch to VCs. This would be cucking oneself, I can sell the network I created for $1b but lets give it to linkies and metheads instead...
Everything that can have a token will have a token. See Uniswap, DYDX, 1inch, Shapeshift.
I advise the ultimate caution reading stuff from stinkers, sometimes the stench that emanates from my computer is so nauseating it is almost compelling. I own some link but have been FUDing the **** out of Link OGs like Chainlinkgod since ICO and SIBOS toilet front presentation.

Took my Atom profits, where to put them into next?
Link, AMP, Polygon didn’t make any crazy moves up lately, maybe one or two of those?
What’s your portfolio breakdown? I’m about 50/50 stocks and crypto now lol, from crypto I’m about 30/30/20 bitcoin, Eth, solana, the rest is the smaller sheits like link, polygon, etc.

i own $AVA $SAITA as long term bags.
short bags are a combo of the usual suspects. ETH, SOL, DOT, ADA . i dont hesitate to sell pieces of those whenever i feel.
sht i need this market to boom before any crazy negative macro events. cant wait to flip some of my crypto profits into other assets. going shopping during a real estate downturn is my dream

Easy to pick winners in the cold of a bear market, though - nothing really stands out and then when you find something you know will be multibillions eventually, you just ape in with everything you can scrape together and wait. Understand why people fud, ignore it all, keep stacking, and wait. Simple as that, really - of course, picking the right project is the key but I feel it was pretty obvious at the time, if one had heard about it. Nothing else of that calibre was out there, Gilbert was a man who meant business.
But right now QNT is outside of my risk appetite, I have to say. I'm not actively encouraging people to buy at this price; it went 2500x from lows to highs this cycle, and in 2021 alone it's pulled 45x against BTC. Will it keep going? I don't know, maybe. It wouldn't surprise me if it did. But on the balance of things (TA, big releases/news very soon, crazy euphoria in the communities) it's a bit hot for me. Think of it like when BTC passes 100k, would you really be telling your mates to buy then? I mean, it could still go to 200k or 250k but... just gets kind of sketchy.
Up to you guys what you do with it; selling is everyone's choice to make depending on how they like to play things. Bear in mind that the privilege I have for buying so early and going in so big is that I get to play it safe at the end - so I ain't telling no brah to sell, but I ain't telling you to buy atm, either. Again, this all depends on your approach, timeframe, strategy, personal disposition, etc.
I'm quite interested in CVX and CRV lately as well, as mentioned - DeFi stuff is always popular and I think they're decent charts + solid incoom while waiting for moon.
As for "the next QNT"... well nothing is going to make you 1000x's now at this point in the cycle anyway, tbh. Sorry for newbrahs! You can still make solid gains, though, and set yourself up well. Got to think fairly long term. If it takes a few years to get deep into 8figs is that really so bad? You're talking 10's of 1000's per day averaged out.

It's not even a moonboy comment to say the upside of this monster is uncapped, because of the sheer scale of it's total addressable market.
Will truly be THE diamond that comes out of the entire 11k+ crypto market, all that's left to do is sit back and watch

now whether you are actually holding a quality project, and whether it will succumb to regulatory pressure, or otherwise fail... that is a separate argument.

But the price of the token is still 100% speculative, it's just plebs like us buying and selling trying to make money. Quant, the company, doing cool big things with their software only translates directly into token price appreciation in as much as their customer loicences are locked up in QNT, right? Well QNT is trading $500mil turnover per day lately even when flat in price, so it would take an INSANE amount of licence revenue to move that, kek. Basically can be ignored - lockups and licence purchases will be a drop in the ocean.
QNT price moves for the same reason any other token does; trader sentiment towards the project and what they think the chart will do next (mainly the latter).
There are two other points of lesser importance to make about QNT, to its detriment:
1) it has a low supply, so a high token price, which is NOT GOOD because - like it or not - people prefer to ape into low-priced tokens. ****coins move from 5c to 50c much easier than from $500 to $5000, das for sure.
2) Quant actually goes against a lot of what crypto was supposed to stand for, i.e. it's basically the govt/banker coin and will help to usher in CBDCs and make sure we own nothing and will be happy. Personally I don't care about this but I think many do and it could somewhat limit its popularity as it pushes up the rankings.
Like I said - not the most important points - but still worth bearing in mind.
I might be wrong and QNT will be the first coin that never dumps, but it's had three 80-85% retraces in its past already and I don't think the current batch of holders are more interested in the tech than they are in making money, nomsayin.
Happy to see myself proved wrong, though. When I sold my stack (and it was a big old stack) I did so acknowledging to myself the possibility that it could run 2, 5, 10x from there by some miracle, and I knew I would be OK with that because I took it for a hell of a ride already and made a solid safe play.
Could have been a slayer.

Well it goes without saying that those three statements are in no way mutually exclusive. Whether you met Gilbert or not, selling up under a 5 billion marketcap AND prior to the full network launch is extremely short-sighted brah. I'm sure you made insane profits, but I'd make a damn sizeable wager that you left more on the table than you took--- QNT genuinely will be replicating Bitcoin numbers in the years to come for all it's going to be doing as the ultimate interoperable Network of networks.

That said, I don't think you realize he has been shilling that coin since it was $12 in the previous thread. You're trying to argue for 2x and 5x gains when the man has held it through somewhere between 18x and 30x. In trading there's something called risk/reward ratio, and the risk of not taking profits from a project after it has run up over 3,300% isabsolutelyfuking retarded. He's doing the smart thing and rolling his profits over into other projects that have more upside.

Side Note: Every time I pull out my crypto.com debit card i get the most peculiar reactions. I'm normally in nicer places and i assume everyone is used to seeing AmEx Gold/Platinum and Chase Preferred/Reserved cards. I was at a hotel bar closing a tab last weekend, and two glowless cougars were looking at me, saw the card i pulled out and whispered "oh my god what if it gets declined lololol". Then i was in a highend steakhouse and when i gave my server the card dudes like "oh wow is this like a new wells fargo card or somethinngggggg?" lol wtf? oh well, i'm kind of a stan for their whole ecosystem at this point. the last two chicks i fuked i found myself going full /r/wallstbets autist...

The problem is that the amounts being speculated on coins are insane, and will overpower any token increase due to usage for many many years.
Take that cargox deal, from my understanding the deal with all of egypt will contribute $1m revenue a month. In crypto speculation that $1m per month is nothing and cant affect the market, especially when spread over a month, that means it only contirbutes approx $33k of buy volume a day.
Some coins have billions of trading volume a day already, so imagine how real world usage you need to actually affect it.
Real world usage is good because it encourages even more speculation, and thats generally the extent of it.
