RIP like you said this hit me hard too was always a huge fan.

Man I normally don't care about celebrity deaths, but in the last 3-4 yrs there's been a lot that hit me hard in the feels.

Chris Cornell
Chester Bennington
Anthony Bourdain
Kobe Bryant

and now Norm Mcdonald

I remember he did a comedy central roast show yrs ago when they were still popular, and instead of roasting the people there, and whoever was supposed to get roasted he just started saying the worst dad jokes was classic. Watched it on comedy central too when it came out I think this was like 2007 around there.

Feels really bad man

The guy was a legit genius srs

He was so good at delivering jokes that he would purposely tell bad jokes because he knew he could pull it off

Yeah I head about it, truly one of the goats of comedy. His deadpan delivery on weekend update was great. The women joke he told on SNL was hilarious.

Feel bad for people who only know him from SNL. That was only a very small part of his career. The guy was a legit genius comedian. Enjoy this clip of him winding up a teacher.

Every comedian says he was one of the best ever. People miss some of his stuff. He emulated a lot of greats (often copying them on purpose but adding his own style). His Rodney danger field is a good example. His roast of Bob Saver was hilarious because he purposely bombed by using jokes he found in a 1950s book (everyone expected him to be just ruthless that night.

He has a lot of subtle references that just make you realize he isn’t actually retarded (as there are times you aren’t sure).

Huge fan and only celebrity death I can remember caring about.

He was probably the smartest guy in every room he was in. He found it funnier to pretend to be dumb for his act, but he graduated HS at age 14 and he read great Russian literature for fun.

It doesn’t feel real. Damn.

He hid his cancer for 9 years from everyone.

This is like when Robbin Williams died. Don’t know what to other than that he was one of the funniest humans to ever walk the Earth. I can’t imagine what it must have been like to go through this for so long and keep it a secret.

Robin William's death still has me fukked up bad. I can't watch any of his movies or I'll start bawling. I feel terrible for not being able to see the pain in his eyes hidden behind his smile in some of his pictures as he got closer to his death. It feels like a family member died, every August 11th is fuking terrible day for me.

Norm Macdonald hits close to home. He was a great comedian and had awesome movie roles. I grew up watching him

My all time favorite comedian.

If you’ve never heard of him. Just start doing a YouTube deep dive of his appearances on talk shows. The way he plays dumb about everything is genius. So many favorite lines and moments from Norm, but I think my all time favorite is when he just starts spouting off that “Bill Clinton shot and killed a man in Texas” while on The View with Barbara Walter LMAO. She was livid, but he wouldn’t stop lol.

Also, his book Based on a True Story is a great read for anyone that is a fan.

Gonna miss his “you caught me” smile that he would always do when he told bad joke on purpose
