There are major institutions with debt holdings in Evergrande all over the world. Much like 2007/2008 this will have an effect and could be one of the catalysts for crippling a weak economy and providing a catalyst to our stock market to start imploding. If it causes enough of the small time players (hedge funds) to start blowing up the effect will be passed along, companies on the hook start liquidating other positions, markets go down, people can't meet margin and boom.

Income tax was imposed for the first time in a crisis until it was eventually madd permanent. Now all we talk about is how much it should be raised.

There are other forms of taxation but my point is never, ever grant the government powers that you don't want them to have. They woll NEVER relinquish them.

Covid vaccine mandate and granting the IRS the ability to monitor your personal bank account will only expand into other areas of life.

People are shortsighted as fuk, especially when you make them scared of everything.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. But it's easier in some areas than others. Like Idaho - tons open businesses here because it's easy. In places like NYC and LA it's a nightmare due to inflated costs, regulation, unions etc. They price out the small guy.
