Pets that are deal-breakers for you when it comes to dating

Dogs - Anything beyond one properly trained dog that was a cool breed would be too much.

Most small pets - Anything that inherently stinks or is gross is an automatic no. Limit to one fairly simple, modest sized tank/aquarium setup tops. None of that bs where you'd need to have lighting that makes it look like you're trying to do indoor farming, gross pets like spiders/insects, or the crap where they try to maintain about half a dozen or more setups at once.

Birds - No large, or tyically noisy birds. They have to be small, low-maintenance, fairly quiet, and no more than one cage for a setup.

Cats - Nothing more than one. I got a buddy who married a chick who owned like 4 cats when they got married, I think they're down to 3 now. He talks about how much it sucks having anything beyond 2 at once, and their home frequently resembles a tamer version of the atrocities Catbrah posts about his living habits.

Spiders/tarantulas. I’m terrified and actually phobic when it comes to spiders.
Definitely a no go.

Yeah, completely agreed. Not only would I constantly worry about a tarantula/spider getting out and being loose in the house, but I'm also just grossed out by spiders in general. I dislike seeing even a small, harmless spider in my house, I don't need to be forced to constantly see some big ugly one in my own home.

Perhaps worst of all is if they're the type of person who wants to not only own a tatarantula/bugs, but handle them as well. I don't care if the species they own is considered docile, that's just weird. Imagine having to find and catch one of those bastards if it ran off, or if it decided to bite. Someone wanting to do that is just plain weird to me.

Fair enough, but how would you feel if (or when, 90% of the time) they eventually start asking you to help them take care the animal(s)? You wanna be stuck picking up dog chit/the limitations it brings into someone's life or cleaning out cages/aquariums of small pets and such when it's *her* pet she got before dating you?

What if she wanted you to do any of that type of crap as a shared responsibility without doing similar in return for you if you have a pet(s)? All I can say is, if I ever had a girlfriend who expected me to help pitch in with taking care of *her* pets, she damn well better be "petting" my snake on a regular basis.

Large dogs maybe with the exception of a golden but if the broad lives in an apartment with a dog over 30 lbs then it shows shes a dumb bish no matter the breed.

Pitbulls obviously.

Any kind of bird.

Small yippy dogs. I have seriously never met a single one that didnt suck as a pet, and the girls that own them are just as obnoxious.

Also having more than 4 animals total is weird.

8 cats, but a spotless clean house? Is your living situation such that they hang out outdoors a lot or something? Because I can't imagine how much time would have to be spent cleaning up after all their crapping/shedding/etc. I feel like it would a couple hours worth of time per day dedicated to cleaning up after them. Maybe a bit less with two people sharing the responsibilities.

Current girl has three cats but I don't ever spend the night at her place so it's no big deal. And she keeps the place spotless.

For me it's more the behaviour around the animal that's the deal breaker. Is the dog their little snoogie woogie bundle of fluffers that they let sleep in the bed and lick their face? Gross. How they treat a pet is very telling on how they interact with other people and also how responsible they are. If they neglect a dog/cat or treat them like crap then odds are they are a crappy person.

this

clear sign the girl is too needy for a cat but doesn't want the responsibility of a bigger dog

but at least she isn't fukking the dog

or is she

I come from a family of animal doctors so I always been okay on that.

My so has 1 dog, colonies of leopard geckos, an emerald tree boa, 2 marmosets, an ice tegu and 7 bearded dragons. Her and her kids their pets are their babies. Her kids play with and care for them except the tegu and emerald which are a bit nippy. I guess.

I already own a fish tank, 2 sugar gliders and 2 dog. I keep them in different rooms. My room only has one of the dogs coming in and out as he pleases.

It was being around pet owners my whole life since I was a teenager basically when I started at animal hospitals.

It lead to be breeding them post-2014 which I did for a few years and I hated the cleaning part.

Kennel technician I cleaned at work then I come home and dedicate my time to cleaning care feeding etc.

I decided dogs and fish after just selling all the breeding crap. It was taking away from my gaming, comics snd miscing.

But the woman I’m with now was introduced to me by our mutual friends because she is into pets and I know a lot about them being it’s what I’ve done my whole life. Again since I was a teenager and started helping out at one of the family clinics.

Deal breakers I dunno I seen women who own 50+ a snakes in breeding tubs. Some are young and hot though. Tatted.

If you have anything or than a dog or cat, usually a big red flag.

Some exceptions can be made for something like a ferret or an orphaned squirrel/rabbit/duck. But you need to have a good story to back it up.

Dogs wouldn’t seem to be that big of a deal but every retarded thot is getting one and you literally can’t even find a date with one who doesn’t have one or won’t bring it with her not to mention brb she can’t stay over bc of feeding dog, leave town with you on a whim or do other chit because of doggo

Not against owning one by any means but I see it way more feasible if you have a house and a back yard to let it roam rather than a small apartment where you have to be home 4x a day and severely limit your life over it

Don’t ever get A ferret

You need more than 1 ferret or none at all ideally
They are social animals so keeping one is keeping them incorrectly
No amount of human attention can replace the company if it’s own kind

In Switzerland and places in Europe it’s illegal to sell Guinea pigs solo because it’s seen as animal cruelty. They can get depressed and sick alone.

Hamsters are solitary but most rodents need bonded pairs or groups

Ever notice it is always bishes with the ugliest dogs that are the most passionate dog people? Like if bish has a Boston bulldog, she is all over it and trying to shove it in your face as her baby, even spamming it on social media. Meanwhile, bishes with a Husky or a prettier dog breed are all like "yeah that's my dog".

Oh and I hate bishes with pitbulls, always the most self-righteous kunts.

Cats are pretty clean creatures-they don't smell like dogs do, they use the litter tray or go through the catflip to go outside & if you groom them outside there will not be much visible dander.

most sloots dont wash their dogs nearly enough.

the dog wont smell if you wash it, get the dentist to clean its teeth and then brush its teeth.
