The problem is when the aggressor is your significant other that you love and they attack you, its not so simple as hitting them back. While I know in theory a man should be able to overpower a woman and an eye for an eye but when the person you love is hitting you its hard to respond with force even if you can.

I've never been on either side of DV in a relationship, but the crowd that says "men can't get physically abused by women" are full-grown retards. A random woman? Sure you defend yourself. Your wife and mother of your children? Not so simple as rearranging her face in retaliation.

I fully believe the potato police that pulled them over did not treat the stop as effectively as they should have and had they stepped in appropriately that girl would still be alive today. Instead, they coddled her which ultimately led to her demise.

She clearly was nuts and a handful, being stuck in a van and camping/hiking with someone is A LOT of exposure to an individual and can be VERY stressful, they both are pretty much bums. She likely just made him go over the top one night and he either accidentally killed her or beat her pretty bad and realized he was phucked if she went to the cops so just killed her not thinking straight

I think Brian realized she was unvaxxed during their trip. She caught covid and died. He freaked out, left, and drove back home to Florida and lawyered up.

Not saying it's likely but it can't be ruled out that he wasn't even the one that killed her. Obviously we all know by now that they have a long track records of fighting and him leaving her behind. It's 'possible' that he left her this time again, couldn't find her and then started to panic and left for Florida thinking that she's just had enough and went back to NY. There were two women murdered less than a month prior to her disappearing so there is clearly at least one murderer creeping around the National Parks but there could be more. Could've been an odd coincidence that Brian left her, some lunatic saw a pretty young blonde girl walking around distressed all alone and then took the opportunity. Then when he learned that the police found a body he knew it would be pinned on him so he bailed. Unlikely but not impossible.

I don't know brah, I know so many people personally who are so good at charming people and then act so fuked up a minute later. This definitely does not go for men only, I know both men and women who are like this, but in this case it was the girl who ended up dead with the guy currently on the run. I agree with everything else you wrote, the girl was obviously a fuked up nutjob, but I still stick to my premise that Brian was putting on an act for the cops and he was a fuked up nutjob as well. Again, she's dead and he's on the run, so no matter what was going on in their relationship, he ended up being the ultimate aggressor.

This was what I was thinking when I first watched it, he comes across as a manipulative psychopath. I need to catch up some on the details, but still, big Christ Watts vibes. I mean, he was cracking up when he was called a victim by the police (since he pulled one over on them, seemed like he couldn't contain his glee) and was deadly serious when he was told Gabbie wouldn't be charged. Something very creepy about that guy.

Some of you guys have put an awful lot of thought into this. LOL.
I'm an Occam's Razor type of thinker. He was angry. He killed her, hid her body, drove back home because that is his only real option other than turning himself in.
The autopsy results should shed some light on just how big of a psychopath the guy really was, but I would bet money that this wasn't an accident or that they were fighting and he hit her a little to hard and somehow killed her.
My first guess would be he strangled her just because that makes the most sense given the circumstances. Second guess is blunt force trauma.

To me the only real mystery left is where did he go, how much do the parents know, and how much did they help him?

Forget the girl. My dude is cool as a cucumber and down playing the whole thing. Polar opposite of her actions wise. Plus with multiple eyewitnesses all over saying they got into huge shouting/fighting matches, had to be kicked out of a Jackson Hole restaurant for fighting with a waitress and each other, etc. Both are fuked up individuals and this is the outcome.

I think it is a lot more "law enforcement incompetence" than him being some kind of criminal mastermind.

However, now that they know for sure that the parents lied to the police/helped the kid---they can use this as leverage against the parents to find out where he went and how he was getting there. The parents will give up the info unless they don't have a problem with potentially being locked up for a very long time.........
