i'm having an exceptionally difficult time trying to process how you can have the athleticism to be a pro mma fighter but still be unable to throw a baseball??

It's like bowling. If you're not a regular bowler and you randomly go to some bowling night, that first attempt is ALWAYS a gutter ball. But it literally only takes like 5 or 6 attempts to at least respectably calibrate your muscle memory to the motion.

Throwing something around the house to/at someone 5 yards or shorter is nothing. Throwing to homebase to a glove 20 yards away is harder than people expect but again, LITERALLY only takes your average joe shmoe 4 or 5 attempts to get the general mechanics down to where the catcher doen't have to move much to catch your throw.

What blows my mind, to your point, is how all these celebs get invited to throw out a pitch and don't take like 5 minutes of practice throws in the parking lot to prevent embarrassing themselves.

I think bowling is a bit different, not everybody goes bowling regularly, maybe some people a few/handful of times, there's probably people out there who have never went bowling. Gutterballs happen sometimes, I think the more equivalent result would be the bowling ball ending up like 2 lanes to your right because these misses are BAD lol. Surely people have played catch as a kid lol, threw a softball, tennis ball, something? I just refuse to believe that it is this bad lmao. Throwing a ball is just as basic as it gets.
