In the US lots of people talk big. But if they came door to door I would bet 25% of those armed would not be handing anything over peacefully. The majority yes but that is a lot of battles to fight

This. I'm in the gun business and I can tell you yeah about 75% of the people would give them up without a fight. The others wouldn't be so willing, and the ones that wouldn't be willing are the guys with military grade arsenals and tens of thousands of rounds of ammo.

Plus, the law enforcement and military boyos I work with wouldnt go along with a confiscation. I sell to a PD and I know a bunch of the swat guys personally. We've had this conversation and literally all of them said they would take up arms against the state if they tried to confiscate guns which goes against the constitution. God bless these constitution loving Americans. No one will take our guns. I'm in the south btw so don't know if same would ring true for places like Cali.

It's over for Australia (mainly NSW and Victoria, I hear Perth bros are Chadding it up), hope we get invaded. Here's some current 'restrictions':

- *NEW* Need a travel permit to inspect real estate property
- Best and Less (like a $2 chit store) will require double vaxx to enter starting October
- Can't travel outside 5km radius of your home or get fined
- Need double vaxx to cross into neighbouring states
- Starting October all government positions will require double vaxx (knew this was coming thanks daddy America)
- Mask must be worn at all times even outdoors (fukin lol)

And my personal favorite, this is directly from the government website:

Exercise or outdoor recreation
If you live in Greater Sydney you can leave your home to engage in exercise or outdoor recreation within your local government area or within 5km of your home.

If you are fully vaccinated, you can attend an outdoor gathering in a public space of up to 5 people for exercise or outdoor recreation so long as all those at the gathering aged 16 years or over are fully vaccinated:

- You must have proof of your vaccination with you at all times.
-You must show a Police Officer your proof of vaccination if its requested.
- Fully vaccinated means you have had 2 doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination or have a medical contraindication certificate issued to you.
- The 5 person limit on these gatherings does not include children aged 12 or under.

You are not prevented from attending more than one such gathering in a day.

If you are not fully vaccinated:

- You can attend an outdoor gathering in a public space with 1 other person that you do not live with,or your nominated visitor ("singles bubble"), for exercise or outdoor recreation.
- If you live with more than 2 other people, you can all exercise and engage in outdoor recreation together.

From Monday 27 September 2021, you will be able to resume swimming at outdoor public pools either within your local government area or within 5km of your home.

Is this real life? There is part of the country that is cutting itself off from the rest of the country? Wtf you do if you have family there?

Also that restriction list is ridiculous. Feel bad for Aussie's who live in that area. Sounds bleak.

Only rule around here in STL is the mask mandate indoors, but outside of grocery stores no one seems to care. At restaurants people put one on just before walking in the door and then take it off as soon as their seated, so people are pretending to wear one for all of 2 seconds. The bars around here dont even make you pretend, no ones wearing a mask and bars have been busy again all year. Same with the pool parties, no one was wearing a mask or social distancing in the slightest for those.
