Archer (Season 12)- *OFFICIAL Discussion Thread*

The 12th season of Archer kicked off with the first two episodes. 8 episodes for this season.

Episode 1- kinda boring
Episode 2- good premise but kinda boring as well

Slow start so hopefully business will pick up soon.

Yeah, once they went to space the show kind of jumped the shark.

The Archer: Vice season was pretty good NGL, but it's just gotten soft af.

Can't remember which season, but the story arc where he gets breast cancer had me rofling.

Episode 3- decent, set in London. Cheryl was the MVP of the episode with her British accent and jokes.

It’s been way better than I expected season 11 was hot garbage and I wasn’t a huge fan of season 10 either but I’ve enjoyed this one so far. For those who say all the new ones suck watch season 9 it was great

Caught up with a few weeks of episodes last night, still a couple of episodes left in the season so lets hope it finishes strong.

Episode 4- it was ok, in Africa
Episode 5- was ok but not great, everyone goes out together for a night out, when they think the Prince is dead was funny
Episode 6- I enjoyed it. Double story in Tokyo, Japan with the current Archer and flashbacks to Archer's first mission.

Finished watching the season after a while.

Episode 7- Ray comes back but working at IIA, wasn't that good.
Episode 8 (finale)- was decent, sets up the next season of the show in a way.

Overall, ok season- nothing stand out or amazing but not as bad as some past seasons. The episode set in London and the flashback episode in Japan were both good and rewatchable. Hopefully next season will be stronger though.

Literally everyone, including the showrunner and cast/crew agree with that sentiment. BUT the past 2 seasons have been a huge return to form. FX already renewed it for a 13th season due to the uptick in quality since the "coma" years.
