Most 30+ year olds do no exercise, eat like ****, and have given up. No way that’s happening to me unless I have some debilitating injury.

I feel you on the eating disorder man, I lost 120 lbs at age 20 and I went through several years of battling the mental game.

Now at 34.
I was BADLY out of shape through my entire 20s, started training somewhat seriously at 30, but since 33 I've been training seriously for the first time in my life, first time to have abs and a physique I really rate.
Obviously had I been training in my late 20s it would have been the but I wasn't so it's a what do you call it, something summer for me.
Physically I chit all over my 25 year old self, that guy could barely bench the bar lol.

I'd say my 20's.
- raging boners
- strong hair
- good skin
- good vision
- white teeth
- strong metabolism
- girls get soaking wet simply just looking at you
It's all going down the drain as I age(32), bb. That is, until I have a son or sons.

Aesthetic wise today.
Performance and strength, early 20’s I was strong as hell no injuries. Now my knees and back hurt like ****. And elbow tendinitis.

Been lifting since I was 17 with zero breaks aside from a few surgeries which was like 5 days off.

I like where I am now. I will be 52 mid November. I don't have the cardio I had from ~22-35. After 35 things went downhill. It got really bad. I tried many times to correct. @42, I started making progress, because I hit the bottom and accepted no matter how small the progress....progress was progress. ~45, was pretty good. 50+, pull up strength is ridiculous (I only do body weight) and right now I can hold a solid tuck planche. Goals, expectations changed. Body I have now is very similar to when 22-35, except I am not running sub 7min miles for distance or breastroking 4000 yards non stop faster than whatever swimmer I usually see at a gym pool doing shorter distance. I am trying to get back in to breast stroking.

17. Good genetics and I was addicted to working out. I tied the school record for dips, had records for 2 sprint events (broken a decade after I graduated) and I could out bench and squat the linemen on the football team, but was also one of the fastest 5K XC runners in NY State. Friends would ask me to flex because I had chest and bicep striations, veins popping out everywhere.
The summer before I switched from football to cross country I was running 20-30 miles a week, doing 50-400m sprints at least 2 hrs a week, lifting 4-6 days a week. I lifted year round in addition to practices at school. My conditioning was insane.
Got stronger when I was in my 20s, but that was my best fitness. BRB play football in summer for 2 hrs, then run 6 miles that night.
