5'8" (real king of manlets imo) and It does bother me. Still get comments here and there as an adult, and I'm sure it affects my dating prospects.

It seems in my social circles, I'm almost always the shortest one in the room. Feels terrible going with friends to approach girls on nights out because if there are any bites, it's always friends and not me.

Coupled with being bald at 25, I don't really think I can reach being above average in looks. Maybe compared to America's current fat population, but I wouldn't consider them to really be in my weight class (no pun). Just talked about this in another thread, but it scares me too that I'm automatically asking for an above-average woman by asking for a girl that's at least moderately in shape.

Same as me. I'm 5'7 but people mistake me for being taller because I have a solid frame and am more muscular than most dudes. I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish I were at least 5'10, but I'm at least grateful I'm not a framecel. If you're short, you kind of need to be in excellent shape so that women take you seriously. It's just how life goes, unfortunately.

But yeah, I never think about height unless there's a cute girl that's taller than me. Even then, I've had girls taller than me be into me, so it's whatever. Height literally doesn't matter outside of limiting your dating pool and a select few sports.

At 5'8, I always thought that I was short growing up since I played basketball. Therefore, in a group that was constantly taller skewed my perspective.
Being in a real world environment, I realize that I am pretty average height, and it really isn't that big of a deal in real life unless you are very short.
Heck, most chicks are between 5'3" and 5'5" so I am still taller than them.

The PROBLEM with height is that you are auto-dismissed by many many women (large % of single fertile young women).

Of course they won't tell you this to your face. I've overheard women say I'm cute but too short though to their friends....it sucks.

5'8, woulda never known I was a manlet until the misc lmao.

Hasn't really affected me in life, I've always had the respect of my peers and never had a problem with women. Would probably be even better if I was 6 ft plus, but I've had it pretty good so far, cant complain

Misc cares more about height than the average woman. Misc is like the most extreme judgement on looks and attractiveness.

Jsut wanted to say its easy to dismiss the Misc but most of these blackpills (if not all) are based on science and overwhelming observational data.

Short guys who say "Its never affected me" are prob coping but thats OK as you can't do anything about it. Moreover they simply can't see it because it takes a higher awareness. I'm sure handicapped people in wheelchairs also say things like "Ive never been happier/appreciated life till I was paralyzed from the neck down". Meanwhile people avoid them and treat them like pets at best and furniture at worst. JUST LOL.

its like saying "I'm glad I'm not rich because then I've had to think about money all the time"...simply not true ..the more you make the less you think about most expenses.

Girls occasionally calling me short in middle and high school contributed to my low self esteem. It wasn't really until college that I felt "short". I was surrounded by tall dudes. I also got two girls tell me that I was shorter than the guys they usually go for.

The brutal thing was seeing my younger brother gets taller than me by 2 inch. Even my teen sister is getting close to my height. I am the shortest male in my family.

I'm glad I stopped associating my happiness with female validation. Whoremaxing definitely helped.

It isn’t black and white. There’s a weighting to the disadvantage. It significantly reduces your dating pool for every inch of height. I’m merely stating that, albeit subjectively, if you listened to the rhetoric on this forum you’d think no short dude ever had a chance with an attractive woman. That is false.
