Surprised they aren't cutting a dear for N64 Rare games in exchange to have the service available on Xbox or GamePass available on Switch, or something. There is enough things both [people desire from the other to work out some sort of exchange.

Nintendo just gave fans what they want and OP is still bitchin about it? LoL @ Sony who charges upgrade fees for the same phucking game. Omg so expensive, I have to spend $5 more per year for a bunch of N64 games WITH online capability. Could you play Mario kart online of the 64? Didn't think so moron.

So they did get Rare games? I bet with see more MS Nintendo collaboration to come then. So many of their services and offerings fit so well together. And Uncle Phil definitely seems like the type who just wants to hold hands with everyone and sing.

It's not a bitching thread. I am not even a Nintendo customer so why would I be bitching? LoL. Although if you did count bitching threads on the internet that would be a great barometer as people lost their minds when Xbox increased Live pricing and when Sony wanted to charge for HZD upgrade to the point where the companies reversed course. Nintendo does things and you see some funny memes about how they charge someone for the 10th time for SMB and everyone moves on.

what do you expect them to do in this specific case? just offer them for free?

the Switch Online service isn't the best, BUT the price is very reasonable so it's justifiable imo

now if they expand the service you can't expect them to just do it without a surcharge so there are 2 options:

- increase the base price of the Online service
- add an additional pack

to me they choose the most reasonable option, if you don't care for these N64/MD games nothing changes for you and you can just keep the service you have atm

and what the controllers are concerned, these are just a gimmick for a niche audience, you don't need them to play the games so I don't see the issue

You guys are taking this way too seriously, it is OK for people to point out goofy gaming trends.

Surely you're not inferring that a thread or two on the Misc is representative of the entire gaming media and fantasy are you?

This is kind of exactly what we're talking about in this thread. Even when a trend such as this is pointed out, Nintendo fans will rabidly search for dissenters to point out that they are not "universally praised" and the dissent is usually a microcosm of the overwhelming praise that they receive. Once again; its just a trend that is being noticed in the games world.

Honestly I have pretty much seen unanimous praise for psychonauts 2 everywhere. Which was well deserved btw, game was great. And very pretty looking.

One of the highest rated games of the year, every youtube video I watched (a lot) had the users enjoy it a lot. Same with on Reddit and a large gaming forum

There will be trolls everywhere (here in larger amounts, is that where you saw the ps2 comments?). Or Twitter? That place had terrible takes in regards to every company (including Nintendo) from fanboys of other companies

Pretty much every Psychnauts review I heard praised everything about the game's story concept etc, but came down on the gameplay and visuals being decent but outdated feeling and looking.

I think I saw something once or twice about the combat, but nothing about the visuals. I could see the Tim burtonesque characters art turning people off, but the environments are really stunning.

I mean from video and screenshots I have seen the game doesn't come close to the visually stunning titles released around it. It has a nice art style but graphically, textures, shadows, lighting, everything is mediocre at best IMO.

But whatever, doesn't matter, just confirming I have definitely heard the same the poster above was discussing.

It's an appealing art style to me but the graphics do not look good IMO. Look at that bridge of spirits game and this, look like they are 5-10 years apart. No MS hate, Forza looks great, this just doesn't, and that's why it's gotten the criticisms it has.
Psychonauts 2 is fun, and wonderfully quirky, making it an ideal purchase for any fan of the original or gamer on the hunt for their next platformer. But, after years in development for well over half a decade its graphics and certain gameplay mechanics can feel slightly dated.

I never actually complain when Sony, ms or Nintendo keeping their old games from dropping in price, or anything like that a major issue. I didn’t know people did complain about Sony. And wouldn’t have expected they were all Nintendo fans too. Lol

Now I get the point behind this thread.

I used to rank the consoles Sony > Nintendo
And that was based on order of importance to me.

Now I might be Xbox > all... atm!!!

Like I heard in 2000 on mtv . A member of KoRn said: “it’s 2000 are you going to be a metal head your whole life?” Meaning why stick to one genre. 21 years later I remember that. Like don’t limit yourself to one band. I mean one brand.
