I am not paying for a badge of a car when the kia is nicer in every way and cheaper.

My fun cars are the Huracan and the Elise. I just bought another elise which I should have soon, coming from across the country. That will be a nice track build.

Anyway yeah, this is definitely good car porn. That Urus is nice, I actually remember your thread from a few weeks back about it.

It's nice and glad to hear you think it's different, but the exhaust needs to be meaner, I want to hear a Lamborghini sound like it's ripping the pavement in half when you step on the gas. The exhaust almost sounded reserved in the video.
AGREE 100% on Urus needing an exhaust. It really is cool, but I would not spend the money on one. I would have to really want it, and 100% truth, I like my kia as an suv. Possibly get a Telluride maybe in future. I dont take out loans for vehicles and see no need to replace unless there is a real need or desire. I dont have either at the moment.

Talk about getting triggered. Klop seems to have some issues. Who the hell neg's people? Like as what point must you be in life that hitting a neg makes you feel good? I am not sure I have ever neg'd anyone. Kind of a weird passive aggressive thing for me. Negs make the people giving them feel important. As if their opinion actually means something.

On a fun note, Ive been working the sim for our VIR trip upcoming. I was feeling good about my time and the track. My son gets on and in his 2nd lap beats me by 10 sec! Then after about 15 min, he was 12 sec faster! Holy sh!t, if I did not love the kid I would choke him. So he is helping me with a few of the corners and braking. The kid amazes me. All my buddies like him. Cool that they welcome a 14 year old out on the track with them and their cars. I am humbled and SUPER proud dad moment. Just hard to explain how great it feels inside to watch your kids do stuff they love and do it well.

Were it not for my son and COVID and all the other bits of craziness, I would probably not be doing this.

But it is a hell of a lot of fun and I have found that 'car' guys from all around have a universal enjoyment of this pursuit. It can be tuned civics or bugattis. It does not matter. This sh!t is fun! The friendships made and the days enjoyed together are incredible memories. I get to share this with my son.

As for 'in 20 years' etc. Do well. I hope you do and I will celebrate with you. My only caution is the 'stuff' does not make you successful. Happiness does not come from the material things. This stuff is sprinkles on the sundae. My true happiness comes from my family and friends.

No need to be so down on stuff. If you dont like it, thats cool. Good luck man.

NC. C7 Z06 is a GREAT car. I like it way more than the C8. I dont think you Z06 would stand much a chance though. Not being cocky, but I am lucky enough to have a pretty fun car. The AWD makes it hook like crazy and there is really not anything faster on the street (stock) except a Tesla Plaid. Stats are 0-60 in 2.3 and 0-100 4.9 and 9.9 1/4. My buddy has a 765LT which will beat it from a roll. My car puts out about 860hp but with AWD that puts about 700 to the wheels. The 765 LT is WAY underrated by McLaren. It puts out over 800 and with RWD it makes a much better 1/4 mile car. It will run 9.5's stock. So from a roll, since he can hook, he can pull on me. But from a dig there is nothing that will come close to hooking with an AWD car.

C7 Z06 is AWESOME though. HUGE fan and love the car!

They are fun. I had an R8 prior which is like a lambo in a tux. The lambo is just raw and unapologetic. A pretty useless car, but just about as fun a car to drive and own as I can think of.
I had thought of jumping into something different, but I really love the Lamborghini brand and history in general. I am on the fence of spec-ing an STO. My dealer offered me an allocation, but it is hard to think of putting close to 500 down on a car in this uncertain economy. Frankly I am a little afraid of the next year or two, and I may just enjoy life and chill for a bit.
Fair enough, DED fooking SRS. I guess I was expecting more of an explanation about who you met up with or how you met them...etc basically just showing a bunch of pics without much explanation felt kinda like a show off humble brag but PERHAPS I am just perceiving the situation wrong I agree being around like minded individuals is cool and I can appreciate the car culture.

Him and the other moron that types like a moron with random caps might be the same person, kind of sad what the Misc has become. This is what they get off on? lmao.

Podunks was a fellow car mod that used to take care of trash like this, too bad he left but I understand why from what he told me.

The 'who' is not really what it is about. As a group, we have all become friends. Some have become VERY good friends as a result. No one famous. Just a group of guys that all love cars and from 25-65. It is a neat group of people for sure.

I was just posting because I thought the pics and the gathering were cool.

I truly feel lucky to get to do and experience some of these things. As a 'car' guy, I can say this never gets old. Any going down the highway with 15 other 'super' cars windows down is just a glorious experience. Even cooler to race them on a track!. I however have moved my track stuff to the lotus. The brakes and tires on the huracan are just too expensive for me justify tracking the car. Brakes are about 40k and tires are 2k per set and you would be lucky to get 3-4 sessions out of them. Not counting if you crash, there is no insurance converage.

I took it out on the track just to have the experience and say I did it with my son, but for me, I dont see that as practical. But there are guys in my group that regularly track their GT3Rs and even GT2Rs which is a monster car. One guy, who about takes it to the extreemes, has a full carbon Radical SR8. He brings a support crew of 4 people with him every time he brings it out to the track. SRS.

Just some cool experiences and cool car stuff. Today I went out to lunch with a bunch of lotus guy and pulled the Elise out. Have not driven it since last track day so had to clean it first. Never taken a pic of it w/ my Huracan and I had to re-arrange the garage to get the elise out, so I took the opportunity to snap a quick pic of them together. Two TOTALLY different cars, but both equally fun in different ways.

That is why I bought the other elise I have coming which should allow me to push my track version even more. Such a fun car to get out on the track!

Crazy to think HOW young some of those guys are to have the success they have to be able to have cars like that I am sure most are OLDER or have HAD rich parents that PERHAPS made it EASIER for them to succeed but it's STILL motivating as FAURK not trying to COPE or make EXCUSES like a BETA. I can certainly see tracking a porsche since THAT would probably be the ONLY way for ME to justify the PRICE I can't IMAGINE paying that much for a v6 with a NOT terribly IMPRESSIVE interior but I am sure on the TRACK they DOMINATE but I would rather HAVE a different car for the STREETS. not SUPER into the TRACK but I suppose if I had a "super" car I would probably go every once in awhile just to FEEL like I am getting MY monies worth WITHOUT worrying about going to JAIL for going 50 over on the highway or SOMETHING ded FOOKING srs.

I just FEEL like I have been EXPOSED to so much I can't GO back to THINKING that 2 vocations a year and a BMW lease is being SUCCESFUL or making it NOT trying to BE back HANDED or passive AGGRESSIVE but when YOU see people with BENTLEYS and FERRARIS taking private JETS and STUFF I just THINK to myself FAURK I ain't gonna get there BY trying to LOOK rich I actually gotta buy a BUSINESS and GET into REAL estate which I am so I am JUST happy that EVEN if I may not ACHIEVE the crazy success at a YOUNGER age like SOME however being ABLE to give BACK to my FAMILY for the SUPPORT and be able to LOOK backwards at all the PROGRESS I have made is WAY better then SELLING out my dreams for a VACATION to maui to BRAG to my co-workers NOM' saying.

. One guy is a former Pro foot ball player, but has been making his way in the business world. A few own businesses and have done well. Only a couple come from 'family' money. Most are self made. I think the motivation to have stuff like this comes with the drive to get it. The truly rich are generally not excited about stuff like this. Guys who had to grind and could never think to own one, are the ones that end up with them. Kinda like me.

Dont sweat it man. Take each day by day. In 09, I had to start completely over. I was almost killed, the economy went to crap, all my business I had to shut down and let go all my employees. I had no idea how to make a living. Had to start over. Cashed out all my retirement, cashed out kids college funds, sold what I could, left over equipment, etc. And got enough chips to play in the game. I had to risk everything I had to try to go forward. I could have sat around and hoped the world would change, but it waits for no one.

I feel fortunate that I can play with stuff again. But like I said in other posts, happiness does not come from stuff. At the end of the day, cars are just 'stuff'. Sure it is fun, but TRUE happiness comes from being in the present and looking at all the great things around you. Surround yourself with great people. People that you love and even love more than your own self. Find someone to make a life with that is worth giving all of yourself too. A person you want to be happy more than you care about yourself. With that, you will never be unhappy a day in your life.

SRS. Fuk the flex....keep it real. These are just 'things'. Plenty of even more rich people can buy these and many more, yet they are still unhappy.

Didn't know about the HARDSHIP you faced I am sure it MAKES this ALL the SWEETER nothing BETTER then BETTING on yourself and WINNING, I have had some SIMILAR troubles BUT they're IN the PAST so no POINT in sharing.

That's COOL about the FOOTball player I can CERTAINLY see HOW cars and WATCHES things like that REALLY attract an AFFLUENT crowd and AS long as YOU can KEEP up the DOORS it OPENS being AROUND those PEOPLE would PROBABLY be MORE then WORTH it spending 50-100k+ on a watch or a car JUST to have those connections and BE around people with 5-10-20mil+ to pick their brain and learn from them. I certainly agree I think A lot of success is SELF-made LIKE you say because if YOU never had nice cars and STUFF it gives you a REASON to hustle but IF it is JUST normal for YOU I could see how you may NOT be inclined to WORK as hard or WHAT have you BUT it's the CLASSIC old money V.S new MONEY FUED personally DESPITE being VERY new MONEY seeing that MY families STATUS and WEALTH has literally JUST started developing within the LAST 100 years I was RAISED with VERY old MONEY sophistication and VALUES since MY parents AND their PARENTS were ABLE to ELEVATE themselves AROUND people of HIGHER society and SLOWLY learn and BE taught the ROPES they PASSED that ONTO me and PUT me IN a position that I will BE able TO raise OUR bloodline to LEVELS of GREATNESS over the next 60 or so YEARS that SHOULD cement our BLOODline into the LEGACY lineage SIMILAR to the ROTHchilds or similar OBVIOULSY it'll take a few more GENERATIONS to actually GET there BUT I'm playing the 300 YEAR game not the 5 year GAME and THE position I see my CHILDREN being in SHOULD mean that by time they HAVE kids we SHOULD truly BE an ELITE level family DED fooking SRS.

You can ALWAYS tell the TRUE new money PLEBS because THEY'RE hilariously trying to GAIN validation and RECOGNITION by ATTEMPTING to immitate STATUS and WEALTH opposed to ACTUALLY making the necessary SACRIFICES they're to BUSY with TRYING to be BETTER and LOOK more succesful then the NEXT person THEY never ACTUALLY accomplish ANYTHING srs. THEY'RE so FOOLISH and EGOTISTICAL it is COMICAL srs.

absolutely spot on ABOUT meaningful RELATIONSHIPS and BEING present SAD to SEE people LIVE a MATERIALISTIC life when AS you SAY it is VIRTUALLY meaningless the ABILITY to enjoy LIFE and BE content FAR exceeds putting on 1k shoes and a 800$ shirt and spending 300$ on a dinner DED fooking SRS.
