If Canada's statistics are true, the 80+ age group has 23% death rate with covid

While the 0-49 age group has a 0.05% death rate
629 deaths / 1,119,110 cases (0-49) = 0.05%

17,393 deaths / 74,361 cases (80+) = 23.3%

Could this truly be the case? or is it possible that out of those 17,393 deaths, very few were actually covid and they just died because you know, 80+ die all the time? Could it then also be possible that out of the 629 deaths in the 0-49 age group, some were also not covid related? which would bring the % even lower.

Less than that when you realize most of those numbers are people tgat died b/c other causes, or died within 28 days of a + test....

28% for 80+ (hospitalization) 2.15% (ICU)

Old people die after long stints in hospitals, where they eventually succumb to whatever disease is circling around the hospital. Young people die very suddenly, and if in hospital, usually because of an accident that happened outside the hospital.

Number of cases is also way higher because a lot of people will simply never get tested.

Even if it were 100% death rate over age 80 it would not justify destroying the world economy.

80 is plenty old and nobody lives forever. They can self quarantine if truly afraid.

Strong this. Got covid, as I had every symptom they listed and I just stayed at home and ordered Uber Eats for 2 weeks. No test at all. (Ded fkn Srs)

The reason why the covid death rate was so inflated at the start was because all of the liberal Governors put covid patients in nursing homes.

They basically used that to make people believe COVID was more deadly than what it was and force the economy into a political lockdown.
