whats the point of owning multiples of guns and citing "muh second amendment rights"

if you'll never use it for anything other than shooting at tin cans, a sheet a paper or if you're real badass, you get to hit one of these:

Rather have it and not need it...

Having a few different guns and ammo for different situations is important as well. House, vehicle, cheap ammo for practicing, expensive ammo for stopping power if you do need to use deadly force to defend yourself or others....

Very good question, conservatives keep pushing the lime on when they will use them

Back when i first heard them they were ready to use them if tyrants took over the government or if an election was stolen, then they backed off

Guns were initially issued to protect you from the government. Now they don't even protect you from intruders into your own home. You're basically guilty until proven innocent.

OP, as a supporter and user of the 2A, I can honestly say you've pointed out the redpill I've been trying to tell my fellow 2A'ers for a while now.

The 2A is an illusion of a safety net. The only reason I support it is as BigTimeOperator pointed out: I'd rather have it and not need it... I could live with knowing that I'm either dying or going to prison with the freedom to make a final stand. I can't live with the idea that I'm going to be enslaved without even the means to resist.

The reality is any attempt to use the 2A for its intended purpose would be squashed before any attempt ever got off the ground. Even if you could get it a foot off the ground, just realize you'll be a traitor and history will forget you and then your movement will be crushed.

The only reason our forefathers succeeded was because of the ocean between them and King George and the lack of technology, i.e. - British intel, at the the time. Place the original signatories of the Declaration in 2021 and they'd never even have their first meeting on the matter.

A gun is a tool. Why do you own more than one screwdriver/knife/scissors? Actually, OP, go F yourself. Notice how you've never seen me bitching to you about why you own what you own.

Don't even own a gun, but its all about deterrance and guns are fun

You have no reason to buy $900 in fireworks on the 4th of July, but you do it anyway because its fun

You have no reason to buy that $80,000 car that can 0-60 in 3 seconds, but you do it anyway because you like it

And guns at least have a reason along with being cool

Guns can definitely be a false sense of security, but they can also be effective if dealing with a crazy person who intends to hurt you.

If they are on drugs, then that's why you need the practice to land a head shot, or at least have ammo that crowns to drop them as quickly as possible due to blood loss.

I am what this forum considers a "liberal"

But I love me some guns. I think responsible gun ownership is fundamental for the US.

Responsible people can and should own as many guns as they want. Responsible people can and should be able to buy cars with big ass engines if they want. Responsible people can and should get breast augmentation as big or small as they want. See the trend?

Fuark I really love this country sometimes.

The British quite literally occupied Boston though, the signing of the Declaration only came much later. The only reason Lexington and Concord happened was because a bunch of regular dudes got the balls to confront the most powerful military in the world and with their poverty gear.

And you're only a traitor/terrorist if you lose.
