John Stewart's new show on Apple TV

Whatever you make think of him, hes fighting the good fight.

Quite pathetic the way we do treat our vet's. My gf is medically discharged from the Army, I don't want to get into the details but she has 3-7 appointments a month and it boggles my mind the red tape just for her to get glasses adjusted.....frames.....then adjust the frames to fit her face.

I feel bad for anyone who's been exposed to these burn pits and now have life long issues.....

Will try to remember to check out the show, but seems a little heavy for a Friday because I know it’ll be upsetting/frustrating. The treatment seems to be all over the board though…I’ve known some veterans who always seem to run into roadblocks while others get great care. Not a lot of firsthand experience, but it seems that the headache is in getting something approved. Once you take care of that part it’s somewhat smooth after that. Or at least that’s the impression I get, but again I don’t have any firsthand experience with the process.

But yeah, if there is anything we should all be able to agree on it’s that we should be taking care of our veterans.

The stories about those burn pits are horrific. Going to watch Ted Lasso tonight and enjoy my evening, but will watch this show when I'm ready to get bummed the FO.
Smooth Seas don't make Strong Sailors. Keep your head up.

Ted Lasso is the show everyone needs, but I don't think everyone deserves <3 What an amazing heartfelt show.....

my brother has life long issues now and yeah the VA is a joke, my dad developed cancer from the marines, and my best friend is on a daily battle with his issues as well after 3 tours and seeing countless friends die they still question is legitimacy on how disable he is. Absolutely insane how badly they'll treat vets once they're gone

He started a terrible genre of TV with Daily Show. Always hated Daily Show, Colbert Report, and all the ****gy "Political Comedy" shows. Total hacks. Norm MacDonald on Weekend Update was the only one that had actual balls to say risky things, while also keeping it funny and not coming across like a smug self-rightoues tw@t.
Look at Colbert and Kimmel now, how they behave. They're just propaganda outlets, not even comedy shows. Not even remotely funny. I guess Stewart is the least sh!tty of them, he seems way less like a psychopath than the rest of then. But he started one of the worst trends in comedy, and he's really not that funny at all.
His cameo on Half Baked is a perfect encapsulation of his comedy, it's...bad.

Kinda what my gf is going through, they found out through the cocktail she needed before getting deployed to Afghanistan that it caused an auto immune disorder......part of her lungs were removed, cervix, and other operations. That's after they gave her chemo cause the VA thought it was cancer when it wasnt........

You sound mad, seems you've been a republican a while. I can tell from your lack of comedic taste.

Norm isn't even in the same league as John and Colbert......its a whole different way. He made fun of pop culture in the news and how we adore Hollywood.

John Stewart showed how stupid government is and how stupid it works, and how easily fooled we all are because of the bias media has.......if he has his own bias, fine. His bias is nothing like the media's bias for political parties.....

Giving a criticism of a terrible subgenre of comedy doesn't make me "MAD." You seem mad like I trashed your religious icons.

This was when it was funny. It was taking the piss, it wasn't condescending or preachy.

South Park has way better political satire than anything I've seen on the talk shows. Or stand-ups like Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Doug Stanhope, Tim Dillon, Eddie Pepitone, Patrice O'Neil, Dave Chappelle, and so forth had way better social commentary than the late night politic show hacks. Stewart at least has his heart in the right place, but he isn't all that funny. None of those dudes can do standup, can they?

Watch Bill Burr on Bill Maher, and you'll see a professional, funny person (Burr) make the politically-hyper-focused hack (Maher) squirm and feel inadequate.

It's a completely lame, sterile genre of comedy. It's just brainrot. That's why you're trying to classify my politics based off the fact I hate political-obsessed comedians who have no other material because...well...they're hacks. I don't box myself in with retarded terms like "Republican" or "Democrat," in fact I think people identifying with parties is some of the ****giest sh!t ever.
