Laura Csortan reveals ‘brutal’ experience dating younger men

The former Miss Universe Australia has opened up about what it’s really like navigating the dating world when you’re a parent.

One Sydney woman has opened up about the “brutal” nickname men had given her daughter “in jest” as she reveals what it is really like to date as a single mum.

Laura Csortan is a model, former Miss Universe Australia and TV host who gave birth to daughter Layla in 2016.

Csortan told the podcast’s host Jana Hocking that she had dated several younger men since becoming a mum, but found “ the cracks started to show several months in”.

“They have been up for it and they’ve been really excited in the beginning. My last relationship was with a younger guy,” she said.

“I find that cracks start to show with the younger ones look just from me having a child and the reality starts to kick in, reality bites, they back off.”

Csortan said that one man had “in jest” referred to her daughter as a SOCK, aka “some other c**t’s kid”.

“This is what guys who comes to a single parent’s party call them, apparently,” she said, with Hocking calling the nickname “brutal”.


But Csortan said her experiences hadn’t put her off dating as a mum, joking that she was keen to date a farmer.

That is an awesome name. These single parents need to understand that they're deluding themselves if they think they hold the same value as somebody without a kid. A single mother to most guys is seen as an easy lay. Just the truth. Other than cukks, who the fukk wants a serious relationship with somebody who has a red flag for poor decisions? Gonna use the term SOCK from now on. Thanks.
