Battlefield 2042 Beta Start Date Update:
"Earlier this month, reliable industry insider Tom Henderson claimed the Battlefield 2042 beta will begin on October 6 for pre-order customers ahead of its wider availability on October 8.

And those dates appear to have been backed up by a promotion on Bilibili’s live stream page, which says Battlefield 2042 events are scheduled for October 6-9."

Skipping COD ****guard so might give this a look but will take at least a month or two after official release to see how bad the cheaters are before I consider buying considering they got their source code hacked.

Pre-Ordered Gold Version and will be playing early access on Xbox. Hope I don't get fuarked and they put it on Gamepass unless I can refund it by then. Really looking forward to trying out that turret. Loved being the engineer in TF2 and using turret in Overwatch.

Just talked to Gamestop customer service. I ordered two Xbox Series X physical copies of Battlefield 2042 they said each copy comes with a Beta Access Code and that those codes should get released to Customers October 5th for "Preload" and then the Official Beta Start Date is October 6th!

Im so hyped man.

I've Preordered PC Games through Amazon they usually just email you the Beta Access Code and don't charge you for anything till Official game is released.

If the game doesn't have battle royale at this point ill wait til it's $20 before I buy

I'm really also looking forward to the Campaign and the latest graphics and functionality in the Campaign story and really immersing myself in the story and the Campaign missions.

Typically, my ritual in COD and BF games (Bad Company, BF3, BF4 etc) has been to play in this order: STORY>>Finish STORY>>MULTIPLAYER. In most games, the graphics and functionality in campaign is usually much better than those in multiplayer lol, but the best graphics and functionality get to be shown in Campaign mode right down to the detail and dramatic bits. BF 2042 isn't BF VI; it's just a multiplayer filler with minor improvements from BFIV's multiplayer. BF VI will be coming out later on.

I'm actually in the middle of playing the campaign of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered on 4th gen. So you'll understand what I'm on about. The campaigns of Medal of Honor are worth noting, as is the campaign of Bad Company 2 and BF3.

Halo released a beta months before release. 2042 is doing it like 2 weeks before, end well this will not

No, my internet is fine. Multiplayer takes less work to develop and doesn't require as much effort for developers and publishers and lacks the detail and functionality typically seen in Campaign modes. Battlefield 2042 is a lazy release and going by the trailers, the gameplay and graphics aren't even that much better than BF4 multiplayer.

Will look out for BFVI when it's release is announced shortly...

I'm not disputing that. All I'm saying is that a Campaign always complements the multiplayer part of games and vice versa. For the last few Battlefield and COD and Medal of Honor games, I have been used to playing Campaign and Multiplayer, which is why I am slightly disappointed at the lack of a Campaign in BF 2042; hence, I will not be in a rush to purchase BF 2042 lol.
