Imagine if we took away cars
Just imagine for a second if it was not completely common place to own multiple forms of transportation. Being able to move your body from one place to another is such a basic ability that is underappreciated. We've genetically subsidized the softest and unhealthiest of people. So many people would simply cease to exist if they could not walk to and from the grocery store.
We need to attack fatties like we've taken on the corona virus.
I traveled to Houston and something sparked my thinking. I saw the biggest truck, with 6 wheels, just idling so loud. I had to wait around to see who would get out of this monster at the gas station. It was the fattest, most disgusting woman I'd ever seen. Something about this massive piece of machinery being needed for this woman to choke down 44 oz of mountain dew at a gas station was just amazing to me.
btw - Houston is probably the most disgusting part of the country in terms of human capital.

If all the money spent on chit cars was spent on glorious public transportation we would have overall better and more livable cities all jokes aside. Cars killed proper urban development and the cities .

Imagine if everyone had a folding bicycle, and a train pass.
the Interstate system created the need for cars. Imagine taking a 200mph train somewhere; it would be the dream. You could sit on ur phone and rocket around the country, pop off onto your bike and roll to where ever you want to go.
rails require less maintenance, less energy consumption, are much faster, etc etc etc.
Everyone is fat AF because you just wake up, then sit to get to work lol. It's insane, and the fact that more than 50% of people in the first world need to "drive" to get to work shows an insane lack of actual thinking.
I wanted to bicycle around town today, but my front tire was flat, so I had to drive.

But the problem with the US is that instead of spending money on it's citizens, the military has done a very good job of fear mongering the US government into giving them a chit ton of money.

I'd love to live in a more walkable or bike friendly city.
Walking around on college campus or back in A school for the navy was the GOAT. It saves so much money too and walking is usually enjoyable if it's not crowded.
