If those who ran the buses and subways had the authority to exclude people from using their service, they'd get a lot more normal people on them. But enforcement of "equality" and being unable to judge some people as worse than others means that you have to deal with subhumans.

This also applies to where you live. Living in a "nice" area that's close enough to downtown, without any of the aforementioned city creatures, costs way too much for the average person. So in order for their kids to go to school and not get beat up/raped, they instead just get a less expensive place in the suburbs that requires an hour drive to go to their officecel job.

have as well and we would need to change the entire american culture/process on daily living. they walk daily to go get their day's worth of food and get fresh. we have costco, sams club, walamrt, etc. where we go get weeks worth of food and store it. we have a very low population density outside of the cities and our country is very young compared to the rest of the world. their cities and some buildings are older than our entire country and has been built differently and to the point to where cars are nearly impossible to drive around.

i've taken public transport in my city for 2 years when i worked downtown and sure it was okay but you had to plan your day around bus routes, train routes, etc. sure some came every 15 minutes but if you missed it, you sit for 15 more, when outside rush hour it would come every 45 minutes, when you got time to burn and nothing to do, sure. i got a family and all kinds of events to take kiddos to, sports, cub scouts, doctors appointments, school, traveling on public transport with little kids all over the place is not ideal. so okay sure, let's thanos snap our population and cram everyone real close to make this work.
