Equinox Gym - Worth It for $215/Month?
Does anyone have an Equinox Gym Membership or used to have one?
What do you think of it?
For those unaware, its a luxury gym (not country club) that offers weightroom, sauna, pool & showers, and tons of fitness classes for $215/month.
I would definitely make use of it for the lifting, yoga, and sauna/shower on weekdays. And sometimes add boxing, and cycling/pilates on weekends.
In addition you get access to high-end sloots.
Thoughts?

If you're an insecure cuck deeply in need of validation or a clueless boomer equating membership price to results, do it.
You're better off getting 2 gym memberships, with one being open 24/7.
Not worth the money

I feel like I'm paying the premium just for the Sauna and Kiehls. Don't go to classses outside of the occasional yoga. Too bad there is no other nice gyms in my area.

That pricing isn't really because they are that much better. It's to keep the poor people out.

First posters are correct that all I have to do is get separate Weightroom (treadmills and punching bags included), and unlimited yoga memberships. Then I can take single classes for cycling, pilates and rock climbing on weekends if I want and STILL spend less. This way I'd meet a variety of more women in each location.
I guess the only pull Equinox has are its sauna/bathrooms, and high-clientele sloots.
So I guess the big question is, are Equinox sloots approachable, friendly, high society lawyers and businesswomen for networking opportunities? I doubt many doctors would visit Equinox.

Was an equinox member a few years ago
In my opinion it's only worth it if you are really going to utilize several of the amenities, which I did not. The pools/sauna/functional areas are absolutely a cut above most gyms. For just lifting, it's the same stuff you would see at any commercial gym though. They have normal bumpers though and not hex plates, so there's that, but don't expect to see things like SSB, belt squats, etc. The women are about on par with anywhere else at least in socal.
nowadays I split my time between the garage where I have all the specialty things I like, and LA Fitness because it's closer to my house and they have all the machines I don't have room for

Also, I imagine its a necessity if you live in pedestrian cities like New York City, Boston, San Francisco and Washington D.C., as gyms there are low-end quality and its difficult to walk all the way back home to shower and then head back out to work when you're walking in the snow/freezing cold.

It's the closest gym to me (walking distance) and has great views of the beach. Absolutely worth it for me. Just wish they were open a little later on weekends (close at like 6pm)
Working out is what I do for fun/stress relief/etc, and as I get older it's important to stay consistent and motivated and having a nice gym with a great view, less riff riff and stuff is worth it to me.

I used to go to a beach front gym similar to equinox and would never go back to a cheap gym. It's worth it IMO

i am a member of the movenpick hotel gym, pay what is equal to 180$ a month "yearly subscription" and i love it here ... always empty, no people, and specially no street disgusting, 0 hygeine animals roaming around or talking loud.
its a pitty that 90% of idiots who go to gyms and workout are willing to spend bank on alcohol on a weekend and wouldnt invest in a good gym subscription because "WHY PAY MONEY IF I CAN WORKOUT ANYWHERE BRAAAAH"

Jesus $200+ a month… is this what’s waiting for me after school? Right now I pay $100 per semester for a rec center that mogs the fukk out of any gym you’ve ever been to. Is lifetime still a thing…? Don’t they basically offer all of that?

The Gold's Gym I went to had everything you listed OP for $40.00 a month, that included 1 hour free child care (anything more was 20$ per hour).
Even a super cooled cardio room that played movies in 100% darkness.......was so relaxing after a rough work out to walk on the treadmill watching older movies. Or go for a swim then watch a movie......
