OP im 5'6" and INDIAN
I understand the struggles you deal with in social situations and work, but I promise you.. you can still get laid and change your mentality. It is not worth the pain and not being able to play sports or do other activities ever again. I too thought about this in my early 20's, but then started getting laid and eventually "grew" out of the height dysmorphia phase. PM me if you want to talk bro.

5 inches? Really? Sounds risky, but you do you, OP.

I'm currently 5'9". I wouldn't mind reaching the 6ft mark.

Also, lmao af claiming no issues with women
You do realise women actively avoid dating guys under 6'0 right?
I have mad respect for mallets who just own it. But lengthening your limbs is just Lol

Doing it for myself is an illusion. it's like when sloots dress like sloots that say they don't do it for attention but do it for themselves, it's a total lie and they don't even know it themselves. Or when miscers take cell tech and are obsessed with their physique " doing it for myself bro". Obviously these actions have certain outcomes, desirable outcomes or outcomes that bring some sort of value whether you are consciously aware of it or not.

It's his life tho and honestly I'm very interested to see the aftermath so bring it on op. Whatever happens, I hope you're prepared to live with the consequences. Good luck and subbed.

I think OP has serious mental health issues if he's actually considering this.

sorry, but this kind of surgery is beyond extreme if the picture you tried to paint in your original post was in any way true.
Sure you might be trying some sort of 'fake it till you make it' thing
but clearly there has to be more going on mentally, than what you're portraying.

AMA and OP refuses to answer most questions
Ok OP answer this:
How do you feel about the most likely outcome of this:
you in a wheelchair for the rest of your life?
are you trying to dominate the crippled crew?

To answer your question, 1) that's not a risk unless you're referring to the recovery period. Even if it was, I'd accept the risk.
2) no

OP I understand where you are coming from since I am 5'7ish but 5 inches seems a little too excessive considering the permanent damage. Why not just go with 2 - 3 inches? There is a reason why docs that do this don't recommend any more than that. Is being 5'9 (average height) not enough? Could always wear shoe lifts on special occasions afterwards for a bit extra.

Stay consistent misc. keep telling manlets to go rope themselves and then be shocked when some are willing to break their legs to gain a few inches.
It’s an investment from Op and maybe it’ll pay off, who knows.
Also lol, should show this thread to fat people who’s crying about body image. Got people literally wanting to break their legs and pay $35k for the privilege and they can put the pie down.

I probably wouldn't do it.
But with that said, I'm like 5'4 so I became aware of the disadvantage I had beginning in my early 20's. I decided if I was going to have any success with women I was going to have to aspire to be perfect in everything else. Looks, money, personality were the main things. I got a decent physique, make 120K yr and luckily women thing my face is attractive outside of that I hopped on precautionary fin.
I'm now 34 and get alot of attention from young girls, currently actually dating a girl thats 23. She's 4'9 so it works well.
I could easily afford to get that surgery and it would be nice to be a few inches taller but its just seems so risky. I would all day rather be short and be fully functional then to be taller and add potentially ruin my life, no matter if the chance is only like 5%

Terrible idea. I've heard this is a long, painful recovery, and no guarantee you'll regain full athletic ability. I'd personally never do this, and I'm 5'7".
