There is only ONE infinite existence/presence.

Its does everything and is everything.

There is nothing apart from it, anything that looks like more than ONE is an illusion like the wave being separate from the ocean.

Well one could argue that psychedelics are a part of the natural world.

I think it just has to do with how you are deep down in your beliefs, subconscious/unconscious mind and how you process emotions.

I was just 'lucky' to have a mystical experience that started a spiritual journey where certain things have been demonstrated, and certain aspects of the veil have been lifted.

Apparently “something” exists. Hence the fact that we are all here right now.

“You” appear to be conscious. Hence the fact that you are able to generate a sensation that you are aware of being a living being.

The only thing you know, is that you are conscious, and experiencing consciousness.

You are yourself. You are the Self.

Think about how it’s possible that you are made of meat, and your body is capable of producing your experiences.

Just remembered about this study I read once. They observed the visual cortex of people on and off shrooms and found that when people claimed they were hallucinating, there was no change in their visual cortex. Does this suggest that the "hallucinations" were there all along? Think about it.We just haven't evolved to be able to perceive our true reality yet.

I guess it was done on mice. There's probably more, too lazy to read.

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/art...ising-findings

The team found that contrary to what they had expected, the mice experienced reduced signaling between neurons in the visual cortex — the brain region largely responsible for interpreting visual information. The timing of the neurons’ firing patterns also changed.

And when you finally go as deep as you can go,

There’s no way to know you’re at the final level
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

brah i hate you to be one too tell you this, but you are currently just hallucinating and receiving input from your 5 senses as well as your intuition, and processing the hallucination as accurately as possible, based on the data that you're being fed and that has been accumulated.

Think about it in terms of walking in on something happening, and you only see half of what happen, draw a conclusion, and you're sure that you're right - then you see what happened before after as well and realise that you were wrong - that's sort of what life is like, except we have a subconscious mind that gives us intuition, so we suffer less from that problem.

Think of karma and beliefs as the stuff that's in your subconscious..

Reality is quantum and non-local, which we know thanks to John Bells genius insight. Whether quantum mechanics is emergent or fundamental is another question entirely.

Also hate to break it to you op, but physics doesn't say that, it's a common misconception probably due to how vague the copanhagen interpretation is. the role of the 'observer' as crucial to the theory has been usurped ever since the formulation of quantum docoherance in like the 70's/80's... its not even 100% clear the wave function actually collapses either, or if the wave function is real or an abstract model... quantum decoherance links the apparent wave function collapse to the system becoming increasingly entangled with its environment. Universal wave function models for example have no wave function collapse, and classical physics can be reduced to quantum in these interpretations. Of the models that do have wave function collapse, there is rarely a special position for the observer, such as spontaneous collapse models. Although, even in the original formulations of Copenhagen, Neils bohr while quite cryptic was clear to state that living/human beings had no elevated position in this theory, and a measurement didn't mean 'a living thing looking at it'. But by treating the environment and measuring device as quantum, as Everitt or Zeh did, instead of assuming quantum mechanics is only a rule for 'small things' and there's some kind of phase transition from quantum to classical, decoherance and entanglement do a fairly good job of explaining the apparent 'wave function collapse' when paired with a suitable interpretation.

In fact the only serious model that gives (living) observers a significant role is QBism which is hardly a leading theory for quantum mechanics. The fact is quantum mechanics works much better when you treat everything as quantum, and when you do not give observers some special position, even though the public still latch on to this idea of consciousness being a key part of quantum mechanics, physicists for the most part do not, nor is there any evidence this is the case. In fact, if anything, many of what i believe to be the most promising interpretations of quantum mechanics are fully deterministic, which does the total opposite of support your theory in the OP. (Everitt and Bohm's interpretations particularly)

I'm not interested in subjective accounts of what reality is in this thread, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and nobody has the objective answer yet... I'm just pointing out the flaw with the physics in the OP. Quoting quantum mechanics as supporting your ideas is misleading at best. I think people have this misunderstanding because of the term used; 'measurement', however by definition all a measurement is in particle physics is some kind of interaction, which does not require a conscious observer, and when it's described like this instead of a 'measurement' it certainly removes some of the anthropic allure from QM.

Here is Zeh's original 1970 paper on decoherance if you actually want to read it, including the mathematical formalization (an improvement on everitts mathematical formulations):
http://www.rzuser.uni-hd.de/~as3/FP70.pdf

It is this math of decoherence that makes quantum computing possible, so it clearly captures some aspect of reality.

Our reality is written within the Bible. Greatest nonfiction book of all time. I’m betting Stephen Hawkings, George Carlin or any atheists who died lost would gladly tell us this too if they could right now srs. The Bible gives us a far better understanding of existence than Einstein ever could.

Believe what you want but stop shoe horning your poorly understood physics as some kind of evidence for your ideas.

Quantum physics doesn't say this at all. It's not 'undetermined energy' QFT has clearly defined fields with clearly defined properties.

Perhaps take a class on quantum mechanics since you like to mention it quite often despite not having the first idea about it?

This. I'm not saying the I'm sure about my assertions. I'm just saying them for fun on a forum to get other people to think and question their reality.

I read your post. You say, "hate to break it to you." but then say there is no conclusion on the subject matter being discussed. I don't care either way, it's just an idea that has nothing to do with my being as I don't latch on to ideas and form an identity from them like most. Thank you for taking the time to respond though, appreciated.

Lmao. bro, relax. There is a whole chit ton of stuff science has no answer for. Sometimes I think about someone I haven't spoke to in years and they call my phone 30 seconds later. Sometimes I think about something and it manifests 5 seconds later, sometimes I have a conversation about something and it manifests like some sort of magic. lol There is stuff going on behind the scenes we don't have words for yet. No one here is stating that they have the ultimate theory, they're just exchanging ideas. Quit being such a neck beard atheist. I used to be like that 8 years ago.

It seems you completely missed the point of my post. Form whatever ideas you wish, I have no problem with your ideas, in fact I actively encourage a range of different ideas and expression, and enjoy discussion. I have a problem with you spreading misinformation about quantum mechanics, as if there isn't already enough, and trying to help clear up your understanding.

There's plenty science can't explain, I'm simply pointing out using quantum mechanics to support your argument is laughable, because you've misunderstood the theory and it doesn't state what you think it does, the conscious observer has no privileged position. That's it. Nothing to do with being a neck beard and everything to do with you posting something demonstratably false about a field I have studied...

Quantum mechanics is not evidence for your ideas, as you claimed in the OP. It doesn't mean your ideas are wrong, it simply means using quantum mechanics as evidence for your ideas is a logical fallacy.

Why did you post your ideas if you think they shouldn't be allowed to be critiqued?

Quantum mechanics is not evidence for your ideas, as you claimed in the OP. It doesn't mean your ideas are wrong, it simply means using quantum mechanics as evidence for your ideas is a logical fallacy
Yeah, I've read a bunch of stephen hawking, leonard susskind, michio kaku, brian greene, etc and I don't claim to have "studied" physics.

Im not sure what implication youre making, I never claimed you said you studied it, but if you're not that comfortable with it maybe its best not to post misinformation and think you're free from critique?

I'm not claiming your idea is wrong, just that QM doesn't say what you claim it does. I actually find your general idea mildly interesting.

When I was like 19 I tried lsd. We took a lot. Holy hell. Me and my buddy were reading each other’s minds and saw things we never saw before. They weren’t hallucinations. It’s like we opened our minds to a whole new world. Only thing that I didn’t like is it shriveled my cawk to nothing and I had a girl who kept trying to take my pants off and go skinny dipping. That was a heck no. I tried it again 2 other times and got no feeling. Mushrooms really didn’t do much for me either. It’s like I got so high my first time that it did it. It’s almost like the weather was in my imagination. It still is. It got me into wicca and earthly gods because I met them that day. Really weird

I can understand what you're saying and even when I think about it, it makes sense that scientists would only be able to make pinpoint "particle physics" observations at any given time. like taking a picture, they're capturing a specific moment in time but that doesn't mean the wave function collapses, it just means that they have captured 1 frame of the function suspended in time. Okay, how about this. Let's say that I perpetually experience a wave function reality through my visual interpretation of it. It's not inaccurate to say that my conventional visual interpretation may be incomplete, is it? There might be another layer of visual perception that humans haven't tapped into yet. Which would suspend my assertions, no? Take away the obvious wave particle duality misconception.

That's not quite what I'm saying.

What I'm saying is, your OP relies on quantum mechanics giving a 'conscious observer' a privaleged position in QM being able to cause wave function collapse, and none of the mainstream interpretations, nor the evidence, points to this, nor is it necessary to make QM work. SOME theories still have wave function collapse, but do not require a conscience observer. This misconception is something my advisor used to hate lol.

In pilot wave theory, the 'wave function collapse' is simply a product of our ignorance, we do not see the pilot wave.

In Copenhagen, the general attitude is 'who cares what's happening, as long as the math works - shut up and calculate' - but Neils Bohr still stated the wave function collapse isn't caused by a conscious observer

In Universal wave function theories such as many worlds (although not all universal wave function theories require 'branching universes'), the 'illusion' of a wave function collapse is simply caused by an object becoming entangled with it's environment and thus information 'leaking' out. We only see down our entangled contribution of the universal wave function, so it's a product of our ignorance.

In spontaneous collapse models such as GRW, the wave function randomly collapses with a very low probability, but because macro objects become entangled with huge networks of particles, the wave function collapse basically becomes an inevitably for macro objects.

Think about what it would mean just for one second; it would mean that the universe existed for it's first 13.8 billion years in superposition, or at least our part did, because there were no conscious observers. Nobody believes this.

Point is, you're right there are things we don't know, but the role of the conscious observer being a key part of the wave function collapse is something that has an extremely low probability of being true at this point, and most physicists don't really believe that either.

I don't blame you for your misconception that a conscious observer is a part of QM, but it is misinformation. I blame this on the Copanhagens interpretations lax view on the philosophy of QM (thanks to the logical positivism philosophy of the era), and its vague use of the word 'measurement'. Essentially, the copanhagen crew claimed it's meaningless to care or worry about things that cannot be measured.

I'm not saying this to patronize btw because you're clearly not stupid, but I'd advise studying some QFT and the math involved for fun; it may lead you to more philosophical ideas that are more compatible with QM.

The last point you made is entirely possible (and in fact objectively true to a degree), but it doesn't require an appeal to quantum mechanics. It could well be, and almost certainly is that humans have very limited information about the world.. for a start we only see a tiny portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, we don't see dark matter, etc. Even forgetting that, we don't see the photon information as it enters our eyes, we see an image of the world after photons have entered our eyes, and been processed by our visual/hierarchical cortex. What we see is certainly not an objective reality, it's just our brains interpretation of information as you may already know (eg there's no such thing as 'red' in nature, there's photons carrying light at the red 'frequency' that our neurons then transform into an inner image of 'red').

In fact, I believe many of the ideas in neuroscience for how psychedelic's work is to do with binding to Serotonin 2a receptors in your hierarchical cortex, thus hampering your brains ability to stich its world view together, effectively making your perception a little closer to reality because there is less 'post processing' going on in the brain. I'm not an expert in neuroscience so i may be a little wrong on some of the details, but this is what i got from Robin Carhatt-Harris' work on psychedelic's function in the brain.

I'm honestly quite sure I could rearrange the theory In the OP in a way that can't be disproved by science in probably a matter of about a day but I'm not going to take the time to do that currently, I have financial obligations that I need to focus on unfortunately. Thank you again for your thought out explanation.

I was just thinking about this in the shower and had to come back and put it into words. Okay, above you mentioned that The collapse of the wave function happens when macro objects, etc, get entangled with their environment or w/e. Let's pretend for a second that a camera, a measuring tool, your brain and eye's are just macro objects interacting with the fabric of reality. A video camera say, has different settings, night vision, infrared, etc. Apply the same thing to a human. Our conventional visual representation of reality is just a permanent collapsed state. What if we had the ability to shift our visual perception to a state in which we are actually able view the wave function through our eye's. View the fabric of the universe through our eye's. i.e. Like the images I posted in the OP.

Inb4 some scientist reads this and publishes it as his own theory.

g2g work, I'll come back later.
