Would also like to add that the AA launcher is highly inaccurate. I maybe hit helos 1 in 6 times, and I also noticed they have seriously unreasonable banking abilities.

I think AA will get nerfed significantly in this game so it allows teams to strategize helis/planes to clear building tops full of campers. They know the roof top campers will be a problem like in BF3/BF4 so they want people to have additional tools to counter them and discourage ridiculous build ups of people camping instead of playing the objective.

AA in BFV was OP af because a good pilot could spam bombs and end up MVP within minutes if he followed a proper route, but they didn't have tall buildings and campers.

I hope when the game is released we get some type of uniforms for the USA operators and then Russian operators because everyone has the same color uniforms can't tell if they are allies or enemies.

So noone played the open beta?

It wasn't as glitchy as I expected, decent but as expected map's lacking destructible environments and feels like a big cluster fk but still fun, I prefer Rush tho.

There's a few folks I know who are equally pissed/upset about the beta. And some folks I've talked to who were already pre-emptively hyped, played the beta for hours, and are still hyped, maybe with some rose tinted glasses, or a broken monitor, one of the two lol.

I see why this game was delayed. I already scheduled off work for its official release, so I'd actually be kinda pissed if they delayed it again for that reason. I hope the launch is better than what I experienced. I will play this game a lot, at least until Halo Infinite comes out. But TBH I might jump on the "Back4Blood" band wagon, as I could use a modern Left 4 Dead anyways.

It's nice to try these types of games every couple years to appreciate actual good games. Shooting mechanics in this game are dogchit tier. Everything feels sloppy and floaty, and net code is horrendous. Lmao at being able to rip grenade launchers and scopes out of your ass and slap them onto your gun at will. In a genre as crowded with good games as FPS idk how these games sell at all

I'm REALLY not feeling the gunplay in this beta. Very floaty feeling.

I'll also have to upgrade my hardware to get better performance. My 1070 and i5 aren't cutting it.

Yeah its really hard to turn and engage a gun fight. Its just whoever sees who.

Game is more teamwork and tactics. 1 soldier is just a pawn.


Game looks like it'll be great but it's all just too much on screen. I'm finally too old for this stuff

Enjoy the last two hours of Beta Battlefield 2042. Game is so dope. They are going to take all the suggestions and fine tune any bugs, glitches and issues. RIP Fartnite, Beta Royale and Cuck Of Duty.

Haven’t been following BF2042 since the reveal trailer in June but are the only playable characters gonna be these specialists? I played a little bit of the open beta and saw there were only specialists I could choose from, not classes. Felt like I was playing war zone with all the same characters running around.

The beta is Def buggy and the game needs some optimization but I Def think this is bf returning to greatness. I'm having alot of fun even on a **** map with lots of bugs. Been a great casual fragfest for me and the homies. Nice break from sweaty apex legends.


Truly can't wait for the full release.

By far the laggiest and buggiest beta I've ever played, completely ruined any hype I had for this game.

EA and Dice have fallen harder than I could have possibly imaged, this game is d-d-d-d-d-d-d-dog chit.



Just go on YT and search up BF2042 beta bugs, they're almost as comedic as the CP2077 ones, do these people not have QA staff? How can you be one of the biggest game devs on the planet, and you make a game with a budget this large, and it's this hilariously bad?

This is why we beta? I mean, yeah you aren't wrong it's buggy as ****, but it's a beta. If the game drops and it continues then I'll be pissed but I'm not gunna be mad a beta is buggy. That's what it's for to help iron those things out.

Still enjoying it despite the bugs. None have been bad enough to keep me from playing.

Supposedly, the beta we got to play is a few months old and the bugs in it have been addressed. But....This is EA we're talking about.


I think the specialists are going to ruin the meta. No classes, I only found people who dropped ammo/med boxes 2 or 3 times the entire 4 days of play.

Specialists just ruin it all. But I'm going to hold out hope for Battlefield Portal.

That's what it's looking like now. I'm counting on the veteran BF community to recreate BF3/4 as close as they can so we can avoid the possible dumpster fire of specialists.

I'm thinking of creating my own mode in 2042 as well.. 1942 soldiers with 2042 vehicles and 2042 soliders with 1942 vehicles. Criss-Cross mode. see how chaotic or unfair it is lol
