Just started Tales of Arise. I'm about 5 hours in, I'm really loking it so far, I'm waiting for the inevitable lull that comes in, a handful of these game suffer from the same exact problem which is a MASSIVE slowdown around that 20-30 hour mark. Hoping Arise kind of skips that.

Been picking my way through Hallow Knight.

Have two pantheons left to 112%.

Have three pantheons left to platinum (console version)... but I don't know if I have what it takes for the fifth pantheon. Feelsbadman.

cant explain it that well, but everything just feels good gameplay wise. It's also still very much halo. I would like to see the Assault Rifle & ghost nerfed though

Are the graphics solid?
I know that was a concern after the preview vid.

Started playing Diablo 2 Resurrected. I havent gotten far yet but damn looks like they made this really good and lol at the one button switch to legacy mode, they're like "yeah? you see how trash the graphics were but you thought it was actually good back then right?"

you still like it? if it wasn't for nosetalgia and being hooked back in the day id probably play something else. it is addictive as fuark though. looking forward to playing more after work

Tales of Arise might be my personal game game of the year. After about 16 hours in, no noticeable fluff to speak of (minus your typical Tales cut scene stuff), the graphics, the gameplay, combos are responsive and the game even on a Moderate difficulty lends itself to be challenging enough to provide you with a challenge and chugging all your consumables but still fun and not disheartening. I don't think I could really play this game on a higher difficulty myself, it would just be more frustrating than fun. The story to this point is interesting and they do enough to make you care about the characters so it's pretty well done. It does have that Japanese level of emotion so if you're not a fan of that type of stuff, it's probably not for you.

On a side note I played the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta and boy that game really left a lot to be desired. The gun sounds were average at best, the map was.... not my favorite Battlefield map ever. And the biggest problem (though this is a problem with all battlefields) is that it didn't feel like anything was at stake, nothing about the game feels "satisfying" if that's a thing. It ran smooth, I didn't get the tearing that I've seen some reviews list, but the game felt hollow.

Just started Ghosts of Tsushima, loving it so far. Felt some apprehension about jumping into another larger open world game after finishing the Witcher 3 though.

Also picked up Horizon Zero Dawn last week. I've missed some seriously good games and have a lot to enjoy over Xmas

Hey, guys.
I am looking to pick up two new next gen games.
I already am going to get Halo Infinite when it comes out, but am looking for some more.
I think that I am going with Ghost of Sushi, so that leaves one more.
Any must play PS5 or Xbox Series X games?

Finally ordered Doom Eternal, mainly to see what it looks like on my new 50 inch 4K TV but also as it has brilliant reviews. I am still using the origional Xbox One, not series X, so the graphics won't be top tier, but they should still be amazing.
