I'm a Christian who attends Bible Study weekly with daily homework (although I procrastinate and do it on Sunday while watching the NFL), but I don't agree with the statement in the OP at all. We should be loving towards our fellow humans and plant seeds with the hope that they turn to Christ. I used to leave out my Bible Study lessons around Muslims and Jews so they could see and ask about them.

I live in an area with a lot of atheists who are turned off that I'm a Christian. It's really a problem on dating apps and men will argue with me on the first date about religion. Talk about a turnoff.

Yea no one is typically debating demonstrable truths like 71 is prime, that plants have chloroplasts, that Jupiter is farther from the Sun than Earth, or that the Earth is round- well besides a few troll threads on the misc. Imagine walking into a math class and there being some kind of debate about whether 71 is prime or whether a^2+b^2=c^2 for right triangles [would be hightailing it out of there real fast].

So when someone claims some sort of "proof" of God, such as those old philosophical arguments from first cause, teleology, or ontology, or other philosophical mumbo jumbo, it is worth pointing out the asymmetry here between that and actual demonstrations...a proven fact is not generally followed by hundreds to thousands of years of endless debate.

1) How did Jesus create the universe? Jesus was born when God sent the holy spirit to impregnate Virgin Mary. In essence, it was a magical rape. Do you worship someone who raped virgin women?

2) After Jesus resurrected, he kinda just woke up, opened his door and 'rose to heaven', never to be seen again. Can you explain why your saviour performed a magical feat never been replicated by another human being in history only to immediately disappear?
(To me it sure sounds like the author did some fan service but couldn't be fuked writing a new story for this character)

3) How, as a grown adult, do you spend your entire life reciting quotes from a bestselling book that was printed about a religion invented thousands of years after several civilisations had their own religion which had almost identical stories about their main characters? Are you aware that the entire Bible is just a copy of Greek and Egyptian mythology that came 100s of years before it? For example that Zeus and Perseus had almost the same story as God and Jesus?
