I remember in my mid twenties I got really into car detailing(wanted to make some money), spend like $1000 on detailing products. Lol. Was a total waste of money and time. However, whenever I cleaned my older bros car, he absolutely loved how clean it was. Wanted me to do it for his wifes' car. I said nope, stop wasting my time. Lol.
If anyone is considering detailing as a career, nope the fk outta there immediately. Your better off getting an ASE certification and getting a college education instead.

I got a series of butt plugs for an ex gf, graduating up in size, and it turned out she could take the biggest one right away. Total waste of money.

Power Tools. Expensive ones, at that. Just can't resist them. I really only need maybe three of the few dozen I currently own. I must've been a tradie in my past life.

In 1996 I was waiting for a greyhound bus in downtown LA and I was approached by a black dude who said he had hundreds of dollars in a locker a few blocks away, but he needed me to hold onto his money for him while he went to go get it.
He needed me to cash in my ticket and put my money with his money, so he took the bag with the money and out my money with his, left and told me not to look at the cash.
Five minutes later I looked and there were paper towels the same diameter and width as dollar bills. I got ripped off.
Luckily, I had $1500 in my bank account, but their most southern branch was in Santa Barbara, so I hitch hiked there.

First of all, women. Enough said.
Second, going out to eat. Not a good cook, don't like to cook, like going out to eat. Curbing it a lot because some places are too expensive.
I don't know if it's a waste exactly but as a mechanic I'm an absolute toolophile. I see a tool I don't have and could possibly use, I've got to have it. Not so much a waste but I'll never get my money's worth out of a lot of these tools.
Back in the day I had a Mustang.

Alcohol. I didn't drink every day but it was pretty often, $7-12 on that when I did at home, otherwise bills that approach $100 at a bar if I'm there long enough, drink alcohol, order food, and tip appropriately. Doing sober october, and found when I went to the Fury + Wilder fight at a bar, my bill from wings, nachos, and lots of diet coke refills was only $26.
Uber Eats or equivalent app. Just checked my order history, and it costs more than double the actual restaurant food price after you factor in the delivery fee + tips. So like gotta waste $10-15 if you want the convenience. Cheaper to just drive.
Diet soda. Drink too much of this chit. Buy 2 get 1 free deals help though, but should really drink more water to be healthier and save money.
Used to buy coffee at the gas station daily. Would also tend to buy a soda or 2 with it. Costed $5-7 a day when I was doing that for a while.
Weed in states where you need to buy a license for it. Basically half a grand to get started on that whole deal, then another $100/yr to maintain it, and then the tools + substance itself has its costs too of course. Chills me out and makes things fun though.
