Just do it man.
You train your body, are you training your mental fitness too?
Even if you just start again part-time to build your mental strength, then go back to full time.

Disability is fine if you are actually disabled.
If you have to question the pros and cons of going on disability, that means you know you can work.
You are losing out on so much if you are capable and on disability. People need some kind of work/purpose.
Plus you'd probably end up getting someone to follow you to see if youre actually disabled. If that person makes the case that you arent disabled, youll have to pay that money back, have an even bigger gap on your resume, and probably other consequences.

So after I get the surgeries I'll be back for sure
