I can never look into my reflection at night, it bothers me. I always think if I look at it it's going to reach out, grab me, and pull me into some evil mirror dimension.

Not an odd, but rather very realistic concern that the economy is going to go to chit any second now, as in complete apocalyptic collapse that will make 1929 look like a flat tire on your way to Sunday league football.

How you could be in a car accident or something and wake up with no memory of the actual accident. It would just be like you randomly woke up one day in a hospital and were paralyzed or something.

My current odd fear is falling out of the car door in a drive through and crushing my head. I read about that happening a few months ago and it stuck with me.

If I can help to alleviate your concerns, worrying about having schizophrenia is probably the best piece of evidence you aren't actually schizophrenic, but solid evidence of anxiety.



Thing is about schizophrenia, and going crazy in general, is that it involves a detachment from reality and thus you generally wouldn't have the awareness or reflection to actually know you've gone crazy. You're not crazy if you're concerned and worried you're going crazy.

- Always double- and triple-check that the oven is off before leaving the house.
- Always double- and triple-check that the garage door is closed before going to bed.
- Always have to have my keys, wallet, and phone in my view on trash day until the trash is picked up.

None of these are rational. They are based on the notion that the results could catastrophic if I don't. For example, accidentally throwing away my wallet. Logically, it makes no sense for me to worry about it. But if it were to happen, it would be a major pain in the arse to replace everything in it. So I have to be sure it can't happen, even though never in my life have I ever accidentally thrown it away.

So, yeah these are odd concerns.

I overreact to political structures. Many small systems end up with something resembling tyranny, with people in charge without any real checks and balances, and I sort of suspect abuse exists in 100% of these systems or is bound to arise sooner or later.
