Is crypto a good hedge against inflation and increased gov surveillance of finances?

^^^ title. Heard the gov wants full access to everyones bank accounts and wants monitoring of transactions $600+. Also, the dollar is going down in value. So is crypto the way to go?

Monero is untraceable, after you buy they can not trace the transactions. Convert from BTC to XMR all transactions after the conversion are not traceable.

You still have to turn it into fiat money at some point to use it for most things. And when the government gets rid of paper money it won't be for a currently traded crypto no matter how much they want it to be. So, in the short term, yes. In the long term, you're the governments bitch whether you like it or not. Only way you won't be on their radar is if you go to some third world ****hole where they still trade goats and chickens.

Crypto/Web3 is the next big innovation space if you missed out on the .com bubble and the Tech stock run this is your chance to get in early. It would be silly to not have some horses in this race.

It's a game of cat and mouse. With the dollar crashing people will invest in crypto. So will all the giant hedge funds, who already are. But when the stock market crashes too, what do you think the hedge funds will do to cover losses when the time comes to show their members they are still making money? They will sell their crypto to bandaid the under performing parts of their portfolio's and the crash will be biblical.
