Tried to redpill a co-worker about height today

Was at work and I was having a convo with my colleague who's in is 50's, started talking about girls and what attracts women. I tried to explain to him that because I'm 5'7, it puts me at a slight disadvantage with dating and said that some sloots would never acknowledge me just because of my height.

He seemed completely baffled and confused, said 'you're not even that short' saying he's never heard such a thing in his life. I did say it's not a massive deal breaker but said if I was taller I'd have an advantage but he still wasn't buying it lol.

He's 5'8-5'9 himself so not much taller, but yeah he pretty much thinks only face, personality and even physique matter (which they obviously do) but couldn't understand height being a factor.

Even some people my generation think the same lol. I'm not saying height is a huge deal breaker (unless you're 5'2) But some people can't comprehend that it plays a role.

Then again before I started miscing I never thought about my height so guess I was the same.

I mean it does play a role but it's not a big role.. granted you are 5'6".. Latinas tend to run shorter but they also love their heels. so that would put them either at your eyes or taller.. like when i was in Colombia visiting a friend she's tall. barefoot she's almost shoulder to shoulder with me.(5'11") and she was gonna wear these sandals with lifts.. had to say nah doggie... wear flats..

Didn't you read? I said SLIGHT disadvantage. I'm not saying it's a huge deal breaker, I'm just aware and realistic about myself.

I do think the misc overexaggerates height too much, but I'm not gonna pretend that it's a not a turn off for some girls.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the average height as been increasing rapidly over the last few decades


They used to call anyone over 6'0 in the NHL "big" back in the 80's. Now you wouldn't make a comment about an NHL player being big unless he was over 6'4"




So essentially a boomer lived in a world with the average height around 3 inches less than today

When you told him you're 5'7, 5'7 in his day was equivalent to 5'10 today

So that's why it doesn't sound short to him

Not true really

Tall places have stopped growing and or reverting. Some places below avg. Have been getting taller

But again.. on the other side its not really getting taller

Netherlands for example i think has stopped or reverted the past few generations

I'm referring to western society in my entire post

So USA, Canada, Australia etc.


Also I've seen it first hand

I used to feel tall back in like 2011 at 6'0" (not like "omg he's so tall" but enough to be described as "tall dark and handsome")

Nowadays when I go out I feel like I'm average height at best, sometimes even feel short

and no I haven't shrunk, still 6'0.25"
