Oh, lawd, I just read that some of the crew walked off the set earlier in the day of the incident because of poor working conditions? Alec "Two Shot" Baldwin is the producer for the film. Seems like this might get juicy.

Hollywood and it's actor's are always going about how we need gun control, how guns are bad. But they're also making movies all about guns, raking in the cash. They're all huge hypocrites. It's also quite funny that they're still using blanks and such when they can just make a prop that has an electronic action, and they can CG the muzzle flash and such.

This might get interesting. I can see Alec "Triggered Finger" Baldwin being a massive nightmare of a person to work with. So it wouldn't surprised me if he's the kind of guy to take certain liberties on set without following protocol. Got my popcorn ready.

Working in the capacity as an actor, it sounds like Baldwin was guilty of trusting incompetent armorers and certain crew members.

However, as there seemed to be lots of other problems, concerns and complaints (even walkouts) from many during filming, it may be possible to prove an even higher degree of negligence if they can establish a pattern of reckless behavior. As a producer Alec could face some issue, as part of a producers job is to make sure things run smoothly...clearly thing couldn't have been going much worse even before the incident.
